This game brings me back to my CoD, CoD:UO and CoD2 days playing on modded tactical realism servers. The whole tactical focus and mindfulness required often has me frustratingly asking no one in my computer room, "Where the ♥♥♥♥ was that guy?" There is little more rewarding than being the last man left in a wave fending off 4 or 5 enemies with a pistol (which don't suck) while you wait for your team to respawn.

If you enjoy a slightly frustrating, tactical, team-based WW2 shooter reminiscent of the glory days of CoD, this is the game for you.

Now I only have 120+ hrs in this game. Not a hell of alot. But I play with 2 friends, and we are always working together. We are lvl 69+ so we can usually get things rolling fairly nicely and quickly. Metal base within a few days, industrialized within a week or so.

I love the idea of pvp servers, where if need be a big conflict can break out, and alliances can be formed. That gives me a feeling of a living, breathing world.

But that is not what this is. The ARK transfer is broken. I agree you should be able to transfer, but you shouldnt be able to move dinos or maybe transfer with no items so its a fresh start. There are roaming bands of people who extort and/or destroy you unless you sink as much time in as they do. Their reach is universal in this game, and the Chinese are also part of this problem. They share steam accounts, use Battlemetrics. They know where you are, when you're on, and what to bring to break your base. And they do it all from the safety of some other server they've monopolized.

I have never played pure PvE, but i can assure you that the PvP is broken thanks to transfers. Buy with caution.
