"Until Dawn" this and "Until Dawn" that. Keep that petty living in the past mindset away from me. So many people in this thread have jerked it off enough it ruins the comparison and actual point of the argument.

TLDR The game is a solid "good", wait for a sale to buy it.
If any of the reviews you read have an "Until Dawn" comparison, instantly ignore it.

I love Supermassive Games, this game is good. It has nice atmosphere, a good soundtrack, good references if you are familiar with the DBD material. There were a couple of times where I wojack pointed knowing who I played with didnt get it.

I will agree that there are some janky animations and bugs that occur when reading/interacting with items that can be addressed. The voice acting gets a weird eyebrow raise in some chapters. In terms of the story, it's pretty easy to sniff out the twist since they throw it at you multiple times, making it really on the nose in the finale.

Spoiler: I think it's a little boring that the whole 'the ethereal camera is the only way to stop it' but what else are you gonna do really against a pawn of an eldritch horror. I do like that some choices that you make early has an impact in the end, even though there's a chance you completely forgot about it - example the cursed mirror. People mad that making a stupid decision kills them, probably shouldnt have made that decision? It's established that you cannot hurt or damage it. You really thought that trying to kill it wouldnt result in you dying?
