Slow major update schedule, but the devs are constantly tweaking and improving, and there is a very active discord community for both newbies and veterans. Wonky combat leading to added difficulty and every encounter is a fight for your life, but you can use the game's physics to your advantage. Every play through can provide a new experience, or there is arena mode if you want a less story driven session. There is lore in just about every corner if you're interested in playing detective.

Makes it easy for people with limited to no knowledge of modding to play an overhaul mod.

its pretty neato

Basically a sandbox where the story is the tutorial but spread out. You don't play Rust expecting countless hours of grinding to amount to much. Even with a septillion-something planets you only need to explore a ~10km radius of one or two of them to figure out what you're going to see on the other sextillion-99. Visuals are stunning and the soundtrack makes me wet. Ultimately, don't buy this game unless you plan on grinding for countless hours, getting built up to 100%, and then starting from scratch again.

FInal Verdict: It's a'ight 10/10 IGN

6 years later and you still find plenty of servers in BC2 and Vietnam almost with 20/32 - 30/32 players in them. You'll get completely creamed by the enemy, then two matches later you'll come back at the top of the leaderboard.

So basically you're playing Cookie Clicker, but instead of become a dominator of worlds through the sale of your delicious cookies, you're just an average guy trying to blow off some steam or whatever. Anyway, don't let your parents catch you, kick the cat out (kind of awkward), etc. But also, see if you can't break your bed or set the blankets on fire hehehe.

This game used to be pretty good (as in playable). Technically, yes, it is free to play, but the progression to levels containing the next weapon is so slow that you might as well pay for the premium access and gold to buy the god-tier weapons that destroy all the little boys justl trying to have fun for free. This game offers a few diverse game modes, but in order to play any of them you have to wait about ten minutes for the matchmaker to find you a semi-suitable game. Once you do find a game, you have to play with temendous amounts of lag. Even with the graphics settings at the absolute minimum, I'm playing at ~10 fps. Maybe once version 1.~~ comes out I'll start playing again, but it's an uninstall for now.

So I think I'm starting to get the general concept of the game (after 5+ unsuccessful tries to survive one night) and the feels are pretty good. So far the only peeves I have are that my alpine tree house doesn't block the rain while I'm inside of it, and it doesn't seem like there is a way to retrieve arrows once they are fired. Other than those two things, I would say The Forest is pretty A1.
