This adventure game delivers because it has decent writing -- which is good because most of the puzzles are all solved through conversation and combining similar items. A short experience but an enjoyable one.

It's like Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill realized as a button mashing experience. The cinematic exposition is a culmination of great sound, music, art and animation. Grab a controller and prep your fingers for an all night button masher.

The game felt so exceedingly unfair for my first play-through because of my poor choices in the various tough missions. During subsequent play-throughs I was able to make the right choices and the luck of the missions allowed me to coast to easy wins. That's when I started to realize that the gameplay was a gorgeously packaged adventure around a hollow tactical experience.

My brain cannot comprehend how unfair this game is ... and that's good because if it ever did I would probably stop playing. It's a deliciously unfair game that reminds me of all my faults as a game player and I enjoy it. Music and sound is sold. The art is decent for most of the levels but there are a few places that are rather ugly.

I do wish that there was an easier version that essentially removed the docking of your gold each play-through. An easy mode like that would go a far way to keeping me from hating myself too much.

The visuals of the game initially turned me off from this game and still occassionally irk me. However, the gameplay and mechanics are absolutely solid and enjoyable. If you are a fan of the rogue-like adventures this one will indeed scratch that itch.

By far the most challenging turn-based game that I have played in recent years. This is exemplar of the genre (particularlly the puzzles for each class, race, and gods). I have been a happy backer since the beta. As a bonus, the soundtrack is phenomenal.

Enjoyable game mechanics. Dig, Dig and dig some more. You start digging and trying to find all the minerals along your path and then suddenly a story starts to appear and a true sense of adventure begins. The game is short and sweet. Well worth the effort to play-through the game.

I have tried on more than four occasions to give this game a try and I still don't get it. I want to like it. It looks decent. There are hexes and units and turns ... but alas it is incredibly boring. Perhaps it is because you, as the leader of a motley crew of recruits, never takes the field and essentially your fights are won with large stacks of anonymous knights, bears, and giants.

2D Aerial combat with bright, cheery airplanes flying at each other in classic head-to-head ways on small artifical maps. The game is simple to get started blasting away, the downside is that you quickly exhaust the core training missions and are thrust into the dark, empty multiplayer world (only 1 server had other people playing).
