It's the never-ending game.

Early Access Review
Tried a recent build and handling & AI has progressed immensely. There is now real difference between the cars, setup tweaks can make a difference and subtle track changes have really made the track more defined (no more getting lost mid lap).

A joy to play.

You will learn a lot about space flight through learning to play Kerbal.

Mods make the game look great and you won't find a more satisfying game expeience than pulling off a successful Kerbal mission.

Charming and accessible with a decent learning curve.

This game was released early and developed to it's finished state - literally what is to be expected from the Early Access program. It's not been abandoned - it's time has come to an end. Not sure what newer reviews are suggesing in terms of unfinished and abandoned.

Only concern is that you can't play at 4K resolution and it's pretty much a 1920* for full screen. This seems to be a hard-coded limit that can't be worked around. I wish it could as I would then play more hours. You can still run borderless windowed @ 2000*2000 but it's hard to view on a 4k monitor...

Yes, this is the best train driving experience available.

No, this is not a simulator.

A better title would be Train Approximation 2015.

A bit unfinished in places... It feels like it reaches 70% of it's potential and all dev effort goes to pumping out new DLC rather than fixing issues or polishing the core game.

Biggest grudge is that it calls itself a simulator however you can't click all the buttons in the driver's seat.
