If you want to play Dead By Daylight you need to be aware that they "allow" quite the nasty hack.

With it, players can shut down the server (probably via DDoS attack) . Happens on both sides - either a killer gets juked and is salty or a survivor is salty (tunnel, 2nd stage on first hook, etc.). In addition, another variant of this "hack": If a player somehow gets your IP they can kick you from the server (under the cover that "you" disconnected) .

This does not happen often, but it happens more than a few times, which makes it annoying. If such a thing happens, you just need to think about the reason as to why it happened. Most of the time it happens right after the killer gets stunned, you pick up a survivor, etc - moments when a killer or survivor gets salty, presumably.

In doing so, you will lose all the bloodpoints you got in this match as well as all progress towards your challenges. Though, at least you don't get a disconnect penalty for that, indicating that Behaviour does know the differences between your voluntary disconnect and the forced one.

The r/deadbydaylight reddit will delete your comment when you mention this hack, most likely because Behaviour doesn't want the mass to find out of this "feature" of the game.

By the way: your anti(-face)-camp mechanic is ♥♥♥♥! All the killer has to do is staying on top of a hill while your hanging at the bottom or the killer is standing close enough to camp but not close enough for the camp-meter to go up. AND even IF the killer is standing right next to you, the camp-meter will not go up by much (or not at all) because it things that one or more survivors are close to you. Dafug is wrong with the brains of person who thought it would be a good idea to implement such a mechanic. Why would the camp-meter stop when a survivor and the killer is close? The killer is already camping and another survivor (other than you) is not on gens -- so the game ALREADY favors the killer. But not with Behaviour: "Hey let's make tunneling, slugging, and camping even more rewarding."

If you are playing as a killer, do just that. Believe me, it will get you your 3/4 kills per match without doing much. By the way, I play in high elo with each killer. Why? Because the game has a hard cap for newbies and everything better than that is playing on the same elo. -- But that is a whole other story.

If you play killer and kill 2 survivors, you get at least 50k bp (without bp offering). On the other hand, as a survivor, you get 10k for doing 2 gens and escape (if you even can).

Fair? No! Three words: Killer sided game.
