When I wandered into the Tower Ruins having just unlocked the long jump, only to see the gate locked, I really thought I finally found a dead end. Only to turn around and find a platforming route that took me to the roof. I then managed to sequence break by long jumping into a backflip into three wall jumps and a ledge grab. That's when I knew this game was peak.
Just buy it and *go*. The level design is so thought out, that you'll never find yourself softlocked, at worst you'll just have to turn around. The movement abilities are satisfying to chain together, almost like you're playing classic Tomb Raider. And they're equally as punishing if you just mash buttons.
So far my only complaint would be how wall jumps work, it's *very* different from what you might be used to in other games and *will* frustrate you at the beginning. You'll have to unlearn mashing the jump button.
For a moden retro game made in Unreal, it runs like a dream too.

Only played this for 15 minutes and I want to see where this game goes. It's weird finding that game you've been dreaming up in your head for years. To begin with, I was hooked by the grungy and grounded aesthetic after years of ditzy car festival games. The car auction with many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to choose from made me smirk. Then I got onto the road and realized why I don't much care for Japanese street racing. The demo takes place entirely on highways with no points of interest to aid navigation. I'm sure this feels like home to a Japanese audience, but as an Euro lad it's just confusing and dare I say boring.
I might still buy the full game just out of principle.

Only buy this game if it's on a 70% or above sale. Only campaign works. It's a decent campaign, one of the best in the franchise. But Multiplayer is dead, bot matches crash right when the match starts and there is no fix. Don't count on Activision to fix it, they don't care.

Does it finally include the OST? Yes. Does the Kex engine have dreadful input lag? Yes. Does it ask you to accept Bethesda.net's EULA for no reason? Yes. Does the Kex engine completely break movement for some reason? Yes. Word of advice, Buy this game, get the goodies but install Quakespasm and don't bother with the new launcher nor the new engine.

It's a good time. It's hard to be mad when you lose when everything is so adorable. Don't buy it until they've dealt with the cheaters though.

It's hard to put this game down despite the Car/Tone/Monarch meta dominating matchmaking, because the movement is just too damn good. It's worth the price of admission for the campaign alone, it's just like one of my Japanese animes.

A good deal of goofy fun that some people seem to take too seriously and feel the nead to cheat in. How miserable do you have to be to cheat in an April Fools game?

Early Access Review
It's CoD mixed in with more traditional shooters like Counter-Strike, with a heavy sprinkling of Pay-2-Win. Smokes and flashes are rentals, so are all other items. Base weapons are still lethal enough, but the player movement is too slow to make pinpoint accuracy engagements skillful. The game could use an FOV slider and some sort of VOIP. The fact that you cannot talk to your team after you die in Demolition is a complete joke, so if you lose a bombsite, the round's already over because half of the team is unaware what is happening. It's a nice distraction for maybe half an hour a day, nothing more. It's free, looks and runs better than CSGO but has a far lower skill ceilling. If you can aim at people's heads while moving, you're a god on the server. Play it and destroy noobs before they figure out that they need headphones for this game.
