But seriously, that's great storytelling.

Hawken is a really fun mecha FPS.

The gameplay is enjoyable, it has a great immersion feeling, the devs are amazing and the matches are fast-paced in a good way. On top of that it's free, so just go for it.

The only thing that annoys me is the heavy grinding. If you don't buy any boosters it'll take a long time to buy your first mech, and all the itens and internal parts are really expensive, especially if you use the in-game currency.

But even this issue doesn't change the fact that this is a great game. Go for it, you won't regret any time you spend playing Hawken.

But seriously, it has a nice atmosphere, fun gameplay, and cocky attitude.
What else to ask for? Totally worth the price.

A great game for anyone who, like me, loves the DC universe.
The visuals are good, the gameplay is fun and the story is interesting. I mean, who doesn't want to run, jump or fly around Gotham, Metropolis, etc helping their favorite heroes/villans? It's a really great experience.

However, if you do not have a subscription, you'll soon feel some heavy limitations towards the freebie players:
You can't have more than 1.500 credits at once - the excess goes to the "escrow", and can only be recovered buying an item in the market - , a lot of powers have to be enabled via paid DLCs (some of the coolest, you can be sure of this), there are only 2 character slots (and that's way too few, given the customization options, like hero/villan, movement type, mentor, power, primary and secondary weapon, etc), etc.

All in all this is a good game. If you liked it and want a really satisfying experience though, go for the subscription.

Every now and then I end up coming back to Team Fortress, even when I have lots and lots of stuff to do.
I guess this shows how addictive and great this game is, five of five stars, no doubt.
