This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. All the metaphors don't allow you to get distracted, there is always something else to discover in a wall, or in a dialogue or anywhere. All the easter eggs (at least the ones I've found) are also very good.

Very intrigued on what the room with all those drawsn red eyes means. I got 3 different prompts, but I forgot one...

Gonna have to wait a while to play it since it still runs like ♥♥♥♥. Like expected since it's in alpha. I don't regert buying it though.

Even though this is a story driven RPG, I expected more of this game in terms of the combat system. It is mostly based in numbers, given that you basically can not evade most enemy attacks, which means that if you have low HP, you will die instantly to a tougher enemy. Rolling in the game is more useful to cover distance than to evade attacks, and it was not the purpose of rolling. The story is amazing, and is the best part of the game. And the graphics are AMAZING given that the game came out in 2011. Comparing to games like Dark Souls, Skyrim, which came out in the same year, this game's graphics are trully exceptional!

Fantastic game! Absolute work of art! There are numerous aspects where Dark Souls shines amongst all the other games of the same genre. Some shine for positive reasons, and some for bad reasons.







The lore:

The lore in this game is as good as it gets. Intriguing story, but in a way that you will not understand it until you go search for it online. Every character and detail in the game makes sense and is coherent with the lore. And the lore isn't just great for the bosses or the important things. The lore extends to every NPC in the game, every enemy, and even any statues or objects placed in the map. I was grabbed by the lore as soon as I started understandig some of it from an in-game clue.


The soundtrack:

Motoi Sakuraba. If you don't know who he is, you should, because he composed all of the masterpieces that control the emotions we feel during the boss fights in the Souls series. The soundtrack is so good, that in certain boss fights you are stressed out, in other ones you are sad, which is all accomplished by the amazing soundtrack. Without the music, the boss fights are way more boring and bland, which can be verified by removing the music in the settings. Truly makes the game better.


The combat:

Now seriously, the combat in Dark Souls is the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life. It is amongst the best combat systems EVER! It is so good, because it accomplishes what every other combat fails to accomplish. It is fair in a way that you can kill the best boss in the game with the worst weapon possible. Almost no other game can do that. The I-frames are by far, the biggest factor in the fairness of the game. It allows you to memorize very precise timings by studying the moveset of the bosses, and rolling in that exact moment of the attack. Any attack can be dodged by rolling except for AoE attacks. The parry mechanic is also very good. Allows you to parry some of the enemies in the game, and some bosses. If you parry succesfully, you will leave the enemy wide open for attacks, or a riposte, which is a critical hit that deals more damage than normal, which is an incentive for the use of parries. So basically, the combat system is always encouraging the use more complex combat techniques, and disencourage the simple ways of playing, like the well-known "R1 Spam".


The replayability;

So, you have just finished your first playthough of Dark Souls and you are being consumed by the biggest felling of joy you have ever felt, moved by the fellings you had during the last boss fight, and then you think "I should play the game again with another weapon!", so you start your journey again and you pick a different class, and do things in a different way, and you still enjoy it like it was your first time! That is what I am talking about! The replayability is certainly a big factor on why I praise this game. Infinite ways of playing the game. Different weapons, challenge runs, or even playing the game with a different controller! Maybe one of the games with the most replayability ever!!






The glitches:

This is certainly the worst thing in this game. The terrible amount of glitches. And not even small glitches, but game-breaking glitches! The multiplayer PvP is unplayable because of some people that exploit these glitches to their advantage.


The PC port:

Oh my god, the PC port is awful. When you buy the game, and you ar hyped to play it, you open it and you see some terrible 720p resolution, at a disgraceful 30 FPS. with the screen being mostly black and the controls using the mouse and keyboard are awful. Then you search it onlyne and realize you must install a third party mod that fixes the game. Even with the fix, that makes the game playable at higher resolutions, and at a silky smooth 60 FPS, there are added soem more glitches that you get from playing at 60 FPS.

Pros:


Huge amounts of content:

It is a fact. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has a lot of
content. Almost never ending missions and
quests to explore in the world of Skyrim. And
most might think it is a lot but it is bad. But it is
not bad at all! Almost 85% of the secondary
quests alone, grant you speacial unique weapons
that you can find nowhere else in the game! So as
you might imagine, apart from the quests, it has
tons of weapons aswell!


Good storyline:

Well, the storyline is just great! I will not give any
spoilers, because I do not like spoilers either! But
I can assure you that from my experioence of the
game, the storyline is just AMAZING!!!! That
makes Skyrim one of the best RPG's in my
opinion!

Amazing lore:

You might think that story and lore are the same
thing, but they are not! Lore is not just the basic
implicit story alone, but all the story behind every
single character in the game, or every building
and town in the game. But, lore is not implicit
directly in the storyline. Lore is the info that you
get from small details in the characters dialog, or
a book, or something like that. But that is not
what matters here! Let's get back to the point!
Skyrim’s lore is amazing because, there are
HUNDREDS of individual characters in skyrim,
including every enemy, every citizen of every
town in the game, and every NPC that will be
directly involved in the storyline, and for each of
those hundreds, we know the backstories. Of
course, there are characters that we know not
much about, but most of them are filled with
amazing life stories and knowledge!


Mod compatibility:

You have just finished every single quest in the
game. You are bored and about to give up playing
Skyrim, because it is repetitive. But what if you
could have millions of mods at your disposal to
add new content or improve the content already
in the game? Well, Bethesda themselves support
the idea of modding, adding mods for Skyrim on
the Steam Workshop. Great!



Cons:


Bad combat mechanics:

I hate to say this, but Skyrim does have sme
pretty bad combat mechanics, given the fact that
it is a "number-based combat. Unlike Skyrim's
rival Dark Souls, that makes combat intuitive and
skill-based, Skyrim bases it's combat on numbers.
So, if an enemy has more health that your
weapon can handle, and deals more damage than
you, there is no way around that buddy! While on
Dark Souls you can kill the toughest enemy in the
game with the worst weapon in the game! Which
has been done! So, that is a total disadvantage for
Skyrim here.

Bad graphics:

Although Skyrim's graphics are not bad, they are
kind of bad for the time it came out. The game
came out in 2011, same year that games like
"Crysis 2" came out, or "Battlefield 3". Bethesda
has launched "Skyrim Special Edition" Which is
basically the same game, but with improved
graphics and textures, which you might think is
good! But it is not that great... It did improve the
graphics, but nothing too relevant. Counts the
intention, am I right?




So, for this I got to give it a 8/10! Now let’s just wait for The Elder Scrolls VI!!!!!!!!!!

Heroes & Generals, is one of the most well devoloped games I've ever played, I even dar to say that it is for sure most well developed, and WAY more complex than CS:GO. It's fun, it's addicting, i'ts historicly accurate, and above all, Free-To-Play!!!! I would never expect a game of this kind to be FTP!!!!
