I liked this game when it was still around. I'm just posting a review to see if it will show me my hours played since it does not show up in my library as a game I own.

EDIT: It does! Almost 100 hours. Dang. One of the first games I played when I got a decent PC and Steam since it was free. This little trip down memory lane was kinda fun.

Write your own post asking for advice, encouragement, sympathy, or anything else. Or respond to others' letters returning the sentiment in kind. You can also "broadcast" a paper airplane to others playing at the same time. This can be a fun way to quick share with others, but its use often devolves into, in my opinion, annoying "chains" of paper airplanes with users posting the previously shared country and then their own or sometimes simply counting numbers.

It can be emotionally burdening but ultimately really rewarding. Plus, there is no pressure to answer every letter so skipping until finding one that resonates with you can prevent some of that burden.

The only traditional game mechanic is collecting a limited number of stickers and room decorations. This is mainly accomplished by getting a thanks from someone after responding to their letter. Collecting these things is clearly not the focus of the game and it seems the developers included them for fun rather than as a driving force to engage with others.

Overall, it's a really great idea and I've been pleasantly surprised with the wholesomeness of the community. I definitely recommend this game if you think you might like making empathetic (although perhaps fleeting) connections with strangers.

Fun arcade game that's very easy to get sucked into the cycle of one.more.game.

Really fun arcade shooter with some skill progression and customization.

The story is mildly interesting, narrated mostly as a voice-over while the action plays out which keeps the player engaged in the gameplay. The general gunplay is really solid with lots of neat touches that make skilled shots feel rewarding. Sadly, the dueling mechanics in the game are the least exciting part which usually makes taking out the "important" baddies ultimately anticlimactic.

Most levels are rather linear, but this keeps the action going and there are some pretty good set pieces, which get highlighted in the arcade mode missions. These score-attack type missions focus on specific chunks of the main story missions and require the player to chain kills together to keep the combo multiplier up in order to achieve the highest scores. It's these tightly-focused missions that I found most enjoyable about the game and give it some replayability.

Overall, I highly recommend this game.

Very easy to get into with a bit of learning curve until you actually feel like you're getting the hang of it. And that's when it really grabs you. You start to feel yourself getting better and making plays that seemed impossible before. The gameplay is simple in concept but has a staggering depth for ever-increasing skill and strategy.

There's an incredible number of ways to cosmetically customize your car. Although, be warned, much of it is locked behind a loot box system that is designed to suck money out of players. They just introduced Rocket Pass (similar to Fortnite's Battle Pass) which provides a more deterministic way of acquiring items, but it will still fill your inventory with a bunch of items you don't want.

They release updates every month or so with a mixture of features and polish. However, the gameplay (outside of a few niche modes) has remained mostly the same since the game launched and is likely to not change much due to their interests in the esports scene. Luckily, the core gameplay is incredibly fun and can be really rewarding as your skill improves.

Overall, this is one of my favorite and most-played games of all time. It's not perfect, but I would recommend anyone give it a try.

Modest little choose-your-own-adventure murder mystery game with multiple endings that are each open to interpretation. Easily beaten within 2 hours. I won't spoil anything, but it definitely had me thinking about it for the next couple of days.

It only lasts about 15 minutes, but it's one of the most interestingly told narratives I've experienced in a video game. Playing again with developer commentary was pretty interesting as well.

Fun and challenging game. Starts out as a simple "consume all that are smaller than you" game but quickly evolves and soon you're battling solar systems and stealing planets. There's quite a few challenges and main missions to keep you busy, but some of the achievements will take you days! Or you can just zoom around space indefinitely as an asteroid/planet/star/black hole/dark matter. Highly recommended!

Short and concise game with an interesting, atypical story. Quite beautiful as well. MP is dead so only get it for the SP.
