Cool concept. Plenty to explore, nice game to play a bit at a time, and there were a couple of close calls. Gunplay is fun and you pretty get to see what a survival game set in Star Wars might look like.Very atmospheric and the visuals are purposefully retro. It's definitely a game I'll play more of, and might even buy for my friends. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's fairly inexpensive and is just cool to play.

Small C-Team project that's enjoyable to play, lets you play as a Postal Girl for the first time, and has kickass tunes as well.

Very fun and enjoyable game! If you're looking for a quick and arcade like typing game experience, this game will cover you. Game has 3 modes:
+ Training - simply type words as they appear. No pressure typing, good for getting your fingers warmed up, plus it has a nice background aesthetic and music.
+ Asteroids - Yeah, it's an asteroids clone, but to me, this is the meat of the game. It's fun just trying to get a high score and be as quick/accurate as possible. Simply type the word on each asteroid and avoid getting your ship hit.
+ Alien - A on-rails shooter, think Typing of the Dead. It only lasts a few minutes long, but challenge yourself to beat the mode without getting hit once. You'll find it's quite a fun little challenge.
On sale, you can get the game around $0.28 cents. At full price, it's a dollar. Hardly a big ask, and it's not only fun, but a good way to exercise your typing skills.
If you can hook up a keyboard to your steam deck, it's also a portable.

Short, but sweet. A solid RPG experience with a unique setting for turn based RPG. You play as a detective who is asked to look into matters of a patron in his mansion. You find that the mansion is overrun with monsters. Overall, it's a fun game worth checking out, should take about 1-2 hours depending on your playstyle. I do intend to replay the game to see if there's anything I missed the first time around. If there is, I may update this review.
Plus
+ Love the pre-rendered 3D graphics look.
+ Fun dialogue, but the horror aspects take itself quite seriously. Somewhat Evildead-ish in a way.
+ Lots of options for combat including melee attacks, gun fire, various items, and even spells in the form of bible verses which I thought was a nice touch. There's also a QTE mechanic for attack and defense. You just press a button when it lines up with the circle to get a bonus in def/atk. Not necessary to complete, but a nice added bit of interactivity, and the dev keeps it simple. No convoluted minigames like in Yiik.
+ Game encourages exploration of you environment. Make sure to look around for extra items, keys, and clues to puzzles like find out the key code for a certain door. Environment isn't big, but not too small either, so backtracking never feels annoying.
+ Works great on Steamdeck and other controllers. Had zero issues and played entirely handheld on my steamdeck.
Minus
- A bit short. I am glad it's not long, but a bit more would have been nice. Perhaps in the form of more random enemy counters, or perhaps add an extra difficulty mode or a new game+.

Person I had fun with, at the time of writing this, am still having fun with this, and never paid a single penny. I played this quite a bit during work, so it's been easier for me to rack up the hours I have. Why I play this during work? It's fun and engaging to pay attention to, but you can also set it to battle mode while you're taking a call or doing some exercise. It makes grinding less of a hassle for me personally. I've managed to build a decent deck at my level I think. All in all, it's a fun F2P experienece. Works fine on the steam deck with the touchscreen, and you bring your account to other platforms. (you have to create an account with kongregate though) If you have bad impulsive spending habits and need to stay away from F2P games that are chocked full of microtransactions and pay to win things, then stay away and keep anyone you know who has those habits far away. As is the case with most F2P games, they have free solutions to leveling the playing field, but unless you don't mind waiting or have some solution, this game will have top players and decks that are near impossible to get pass without extensive leveling up/experience. Game is basically full of F2P BS, but the gameplay is fun and it has the funny cartoon franchises I know and love.

This is such an oddly satisfying game. Earthbound fans will feel at home with the game's artstyle and brand of humorous storytelling. It's a comedy with some unique and decidedly non-comedic moments take place. Game play is pretty standard for a turn based RPG, it's not too difficult, but far from easy. Lots to explore and discover, NPC dialogue is filled with funny blurbs and moments themselves, so make sure you interact with everyone to start off with. This game also gives a serious illusion of decision, but I think that's intentional. If you desire backtracking, it can be a bit of pain since there are no portals or anything. It's one huge map with no fast travel besides a run function.

Overall, it's a solid old school RPG with a unique look and sense of humor.

Can't add much to Postal 2 beyond this. It's a fun game. Play it.

Here's a silly clip from the game:

A nice send off to a legendary series. I had initially had my doubts about the games visuals when I first saw, them but when I began playing the game, and see it in all it's fluid motion on Steam Deck, I fell in love with it. The art direction is booming with charisma and personality you want to see from a Monkey Island game. The puzzles are well balanced, leaving enough room for head scratchers. The game simply demands you interact with as much of the environment and it's items as possible. The excellent writing and humor remains rock solid, and the new addition of trivia cards adds a new standard to collectibles that I never knew I wanted. There's plenty to experiment and discover with. Don't be afraid to replay the game, as you might miss some stuff, and remember that Monkey Island above all else is about having fun. I do hope we get another game down the line, perhaps a remake or two, but I'm confident most Monkey Island fans will feel right at home.

Warning: Legit my favorite game ever.

I enjoyed this just as much today as I did back in the day when I picked my pre-ordered copy up form gamestop for the xbox 360. Steam version has some hiccups, I also have only experienced the PC version thru the steam deck. It's still rock solid, but the re-release unfortunately is missing some bangers from the orignal soundtrack, and there are some graphical errors resulting from this game being made from the ground up for consoles. I notice that BL is still getting small updates to this day, so props to DoubleFine, I had a great experience on the Steam Deck. The original Xbox 360 version is still the preferred way to enjoy Brutal Legend.

I 100% believe this game doesn't do much wrong and is a near perfect gaming experience for me. Of course, that can change person to person based on personal preference. Second warning, this review is about to get much longer.

This game perfectly meshes it's concept with world building, story telling, and gameplay.

World Building: Everything feels like it's meant to be on the cover of a metal album. Like it was custom made to fit this games very specific aesthetic. The right amount of open space, and sights to see. The world encourages you to simply be a tourist by visiting special locations with tourist binoculars that give you a cinematic look at some of the best and most memorable landmarks of the entire game. Collectibles unlock important lore that explains why and how this world exists, along with more great tunes to listen to, along with weapons, costumes, and gameplay boosts (going faster, stronger attacks, etc.). On top of that, there's absolutely brilliant concept art to unlock in this game. I can't recommend 100%ing this game enough, and once you defeat the game, you unlock a device that makes hunting for those last collectibles much easier to bear. Every game with a butt ton of collectibles should have this.

Storytelling: This is probably what most will remember Brutal Legend for. It's humor is some of the best with Tim Schaefer at the helm, and beyond the ending feeling a bit rushed for a game, everything about this has a cinematic quality purely in the cutscenes. You want to watch everything unfold. The game does a great job of getting you to care about these characters and it's many plot points.

Gameplay: This will be a more controversial opinion, as ones tastes could make or break their gameplay experience. First, make no doubt about it, this is an action RTS game first and foremost. That means you have to be more involved with the combat than just point and clicking, but also have to learn the strengths and weaknesses of your units, along with figuring out when the right time to strike with their double team. A special move you can perform that varies depending on the unit. The game is constantly trying to ease you into the mindset of how to play this game before you reach your fist stage battle in the campaign. The strategy and depth of action based combat goes quite deep to say the least. If you find youself enjoying the main course that is stage battles, the game opens up with a multiplayer suite that you can play with people and AI. Now the game does give a wink and nod to fans of more traditional hack and slash adventure games. There are boss fights and side quests clearly aimed at this crowd, and it does make the experience much more complete. The rest of the side quests give you quite a bit to do. Ambushing enemies, using stationary weapons to defend spots, hunting animals, racing, etc.

I could do a whole essay about Brutal Legend, and perhaps one day I will. It has so much to unpack about it. Just know this is one of the most satisfying experiences I ever had the pleasure of enjoying, and I invite anyone to try it for themselves.

THE MOST ORIGINAL GAME OF 2022

Also up there as one of the most original gaming experiences I've had in years. I've never quite experienced a game like this. It's aesthetic is so well meshed with the gameplay and world building. Simplest terms would be Zoolander meets Doom, but that doesn't quite cover the well designed action and over the top personalities in this game.

It's not all perfect, platforming is done quite a bit in this game, and while usually good, it doesn't always stick the landing. Precision platforming doesn't always mesh well with the first person genre since you can't always properly judge the distance and jumping spot as well as you could with a third person camera. I feel like there was not enough places to really jump around and have fun in.

That said, it's small beans to what is an overwhelmingly fun experience. I say buy it.
