The game that has so much potential and falls so so short.

I'm a lover of pretty much all survival based games, and I figured I'd give this a shot. The game is generally just very difficult, and is very hard to get ahead or even know if you're getting ahead. AI tracking basically is pin point and they will always find you, and if you don't know coding or can't remember basic coding lines then you're basically out of luck.

I would love to see this game get updates and grow, but it's going to have to take a lot to bring me back.

Rocket League... ohhhh Rocket League where do I start? This game and I have the biggest love/hate relationship that someone can have with a video game. The same thing that frustrates me the most about this game is the same thing that brings me back to it, competition. No game is ever the same and you never know what kind of tricks your opponent has up their sleeves. But, lets do a quick pro/con list and get on with our day shall we?

Pros:
Fun and fast paced games keep you interested
Competition is great
Dev updates constantly and they listen to the community
New content frequently(could be a con, but it's inexpensive and you don't need to buy it to play the game)

Before you take this as just a bad review, please read.

This game was very hyped up from the moment it was announced until the day it was released. Heck, even I bought into the hype of it. Don't get me wrong this game is a very good game, but there are certain aspects of it that make me not able to recommend this game.

Like the fact that unless you are extremely dead set on playing though the story you will never finish it. There is so much to do on the map that there is TOO MUCH. Things are constantly popping up asking you to do this, or join an online session. To the point where you almost forget there is a story. The story isn't bad either.

Tl;dr Too much stuff happening to actually enjoy the game.

I started this game as a lost and lonely hunter until I came across a fellow friendly hunter. We took our journey into the dark and unexplored woods of this strange island. We found a river and decided to set up a nice camp and form a pact, known as a tribe. In the middle of a night an outsider whom we thought was just passing decided to attack our camp.

That was when we aqquired our first pet. We named him Dave, but he didn't take kindly to that name. Dave refused to eat, and pleaded with other outsider to free him. No, he was OUR pet. Dave started acting very strange, as if he was going crazy. We found a dead body in Dave's cage. To this day it is still unknown how that poor soul got in there.

Shortly after our camp was attacked by a dinosaur. Fleeing to our teepee's we realized Dave was still out there. That monster killed Dave and then moved on to attack some smaller dino's. We agreed that the location of our camp was far too dangerous. So we moved back to the beach where we found a small cave.

That was when we got our second pet, Steve. Steve was much calmer. He obeyed commands and ate when we fed him. We liked Steve much more than our last pet. We made sure Steve survived. We even set Steve free after realizing that we loved him. Because you know what they say. If you love something, set it free.

I'm very impressed for a Free-to-Play game.

Sure, there are certain aspects where people might say this is pay to win style game, but I beg to differ.
Even though I've only played a few matches I can see that this game puts players on a very even playing field. People who have bought items in game might have some fancy looking stuff, but that doesn't make them better. It's all about overall skill, and not exactly what equipment you have.

This game is highly about teamwork and communication skills. Luckily, I have seen A LOT of that since I've started playing which gives me great hope. You can't be a one man wrecking team, or try to be a lone wolf.

Overall, I can say nothing but good things about this game. The gameplay is fun, the modes are fun, and even the players(yes I said it, surprised?) are fun. I cannot wait to spend countless more hours enjoying this game.

I've put over 50 hours into this game, which I know isn't a whole lot, and have nothing to show for it. But, I don't care. I've enjoyed this game more than most games I've played even though there is no end-game.
