Best colony sim in my opinion and it is still being regularly updated.

Also it runs on just about any PC on the planet. Smooth as butter.

Well I put a small amount of time into the game to really test out all the systems and mechanics. I have played with mods, but this review will be about my DLC-only experience.

I can honestly say this is my favorite game, even among those in my childhood memories.

The game runs amazingly well nowadays, although my PC has been upgraded as well so that might have as much to do with it, idk. Lategame on release was a slow slideshow, but today it is quite quick.

Gameplay-wise this is so immersive. It can be as Roleplay as you want it to be. Sometimes it ends up being a power fantasy, other times a "unite the galaxy as a the benevolent Galactic President" time. It feels like after almost 1200 hours I have not even started making fun races to play as yet, just good ones. So much still to do.....

Sound, I honestly have no idea. I play while watching livestreams so I cannot say how the music is. The interface sounds and the narrator are not annoying and get kept at full volume for me, if that tells you anything.

Only warning, it has a SEVERE case of the civ "just one more turn" syndrome. You will get on wanting to play an hour and spend a day.

TL:DR of my review: I love playing this game sober. I love playing this game high. I love playing this game drunk. I love playing this game. Buy it.

Okay so the bugged fixed itself, I don't know how or why but it now plays quite well.

To put it simply, if you love MoO 2, you will love this one.

Workshop support is a huge boon.

I really love the fact that when you lose a space battle, it isn't all over like in Stellaris. Enemies can get bogged down taking your planets, you can muster a defense in time. I am beating a superior foe atm doing this.

So in all, 8.5/10. The downside I see are the pollution mechanic being quite harsh. I had to mod that part a bit to feel like MoO2, but that's it.

Never played Rome 2, past a few skirmish battles, so I am not put off by the similarities of Attila to it.

I love Total War games. Ever since my Mom bought me the original Shogun back in the day before I had internet in my house. I would lose hours and hours of my life to it. Attila has done this for me again. I sometimes refuse to play it on workdays becuase I lose track of time so badly.

Can't wait for Warhammer, if Attila is anything to go by.

I would recommend the game if not for the huge nerf to income this gaming company put in on the recent patch release.

If you want to grind, even with premium, but still not make enough to break even, feel free to download. Otherwise AVOID THIS GAME like the plague.

I will remove when fixed, otherwise people need to know how scummy this company can be.

New bug has appeared, posted in support forums and no one responded for 2 days, still waiting. Can't purchase premium. Guess that is for the best. Better just wait till release.

As an alpha it is good, but you know how broken alphas are. 0/10 for support response, no excuse for that one mates, alpha or not.

Wait. That's all I can say. Development is so slow, and the game is played out so fast it is just not worth it at the moment. I crafted a gun capable of killing giant robots quickly in such a short amount of time I was astounded there was nothing else to do.

Only not recommmended because it's not worth playing yet. Give it another year or two.
