Amazing sequel that was worth the wait. More unique and creative environments and enemies, fun gameplay, and the story is alright. Ability upgrades could be more exciting but it was still fine.

Early Access Review
Absolutely amazing remake, and the new Xen chapters are so breathtaking. (referring to Xen): The combat situations / AI and maps allow the player to be much more involved in the action, and the developers' reimagination of this world is so different and beautiful but well done and still feels just like Half-Life, along with its puzzles throughout. The Nihilanth fight is no exception either.

This game also has one of the best soundtracks out there, especially the new Xen themes.

The camera / targetting function is weird sometimes, but the game itself is pretty okay except for the very rage-inducing last chapter.
