Demon Hearts-- it's a fast paced precision platformer, that wears its inspirations on its sleeves, it takes all the best lesons learned from platformers of recent years and jam packs them into 50ish levels. The controls are simple and the gameplay is deep without being too complex.

There is no doubt that you should pick this hidden gem up, as it's only $10, especially if you're a fan of games like, Super Meat Boy, I wanna be the Guy, Wings of Vi, etc.

To any and all who have ever worked a boring desk job especially in retail or customer care, I highly recommend:

"Papers, Please" A document thriller.
You are a father, a husband, a son-in-law, and a brother. You are a provider for 4 mouths. Your budget consists of 2 checkboxes: Does your family eat? Does your family have Heating in Russian November?

Also the rent went up.

For a game that is essentially a desk job work-a-holic simulator where you only work 16 hour shifts because your son needs medicine, it is compelling. It is powerful, and at times, rewarding.

A woman is entering Arstotzka (in-game Russia) from Impor (another in-game country) to visit her son who she hasn't seen in 5 years. She ignores your request for her entry visa until asked because she is so enamored with her trip. Upon receiving the visa, you discover that it is expired. You have 3 mistakes on your belt already, and you've taken a $5 cut to your $55 salary.
Another mistake will be an additional $10.
Your son is sick.
Your family hasn't had food in 2 days.
The rent is $30 and food is $20.

You deny her passport and send her on her way.

Spelunky is a no holds barred action roguelike with tounge-in-cheek humor and a near infinite level of replayability. Its amazing art style coupled with procedural generation and hillarious chain deaths make every run a joy. A must have for lovers of The Binding of Isaac, and other action roguelikes.
