I initially chose the name "boulder" on the internet because i thought the sprite for an enemy in a movement shooter looked funny, but i have slowly come to realize it represents myself very accurately As a person.

a boulder starts as a jagged large rock, stumbling on the ground as it attempts to roll, only to splinter and crash in the process
over several years through erosion it slowly becomes more and more smooth, until it is almost a perfect sphere.
while its jagged edges used to be swept up by strong gusts, it now sits still in the face of confrontation, only moving if it truly should.
there will be people who attempt to destroy it, carve it or simply just move it out of the way, but it will always return smoother than it once was.
in life, you are expected to conform to societal standards, censor your own speech and beliefs as to not risk offending those with power, being pushed down a hill because a gust wants you out of its way.
But this gust holds no power against those who have experienced the erosion of life.
Do not be carved or pushed by the influence of others, but only by yourself in pursuit of truth.
