Having finished this game, alongside the other PS2-era SMT games, multiple times I can safely recommend this remaster. While not being as through as we wanted (still compressed audio, still no reordering the skills, locked to 30fps and 1080p), the basic improvments from the PS2 times make it worth.
Some of the issues can be off-set by modding, you can already use uncompressed audio files and the internal resolution can be modified via hex values (game is limited to 1080p otherwise and you can probably safely play in 4K). Still waiting on a mod to reorder the skills, but other than minor nitpicks from someone who has been playing SMT games for the good part of 8 years this remaster is a safe buy.
