This app is extremely versatile! Not only does it play audio leagues better than the alternative of playing music close to a microphone, but almost every aspect of how you wish to control the playback is customizable. You can easily program your own keyboard shortcuts to your preferences, and also set it to hold a key once playback begins, which is perfect for applications that use Push-to-Talk!

However, some quality of life issues hold me back from giving a perfect rating. Adjusting the microphone volume of your Soundpad's music can only be done through increments on a hard to find menu. It would be much easier if you could adjust the mic output on a slider, similar to the audio that gets transmitted back to your headphones.

In addition, it's problematic to use only one profile to store all of the keyboard shortcuts and playback held buttons, as they interfere when you try to use them for apps that don't have matching Push-to-talk buttons. It would be useful to be able to create and edit multiple profiles that can be switched between on the main window of Soundpad.

With all the praise I could give this game, I'll first begin with saying this is probably the definitive Monster Hunter experience.
The monsters, the maps, the controls; they are so dang immersive.
The monsters (specifically the larger ones) don't immediately see you as a threat to them, and will even sometimes ignore you completely because something bigger has challenged them, and you simply don't matter. It adds to the feeling that you're weak and unprepared to fight them. Hell, the first time I saw a Rathian, it simply left me alone, because I wasn't worth its time. I stalked it silently, until it noticed I wasn't going away, and then began acting aggressive.
The maps in this game are no longer connected with loading zones, meaning everything is a huge map to play around in. No longer is the fight disrupted by being knocked out of a zone, or easy escape from a monster possible. You can see monsters moving around in real-time on your map, even when you're not in their zone.
The controls are the perfect balance between easy to learn, but hard to master. Anyone can pick up any weapon and have a good time, but the combos that experienced players can pull off are some of the strongest attacks in the game. You can really feel the weight of your weapon as you swing it around. The slow, methodical fighting makes every attack a strategic play.

If you have the 60$, I highly recommend getting this game for yourself. With an active online playerbase, up to 3 other players can help you hunt those monsters.

It's like GMod, minus the PhysGun.
And zombies.

As someone who's played two of the original Crash games to completion, this was the game I've always dreamt of. It goes beyond a simple graphics update, by making sure the controls feel the same between games. The new physics take some getting used to, but veterans and new players can get used to it.
Though I do have to admit, Crash 1 is considerably harder to complete 100%, it's still pretty forgiving with the amount of lives handed to you.

As Caddicarus once said, this is the definitive version of Crash that you want to play, and I couldn't agree more.

Wow. This is not just a fanmade project for an already amazing game, but if I were given this blindly, I would immediately assume that this was officially endorsed by Valve themselves. The game looks great, sounds great, and plays great. The story is well-written, and the core that helps you escape is charming. However, the one complaint I have is that the main path is sometimes hard to spot, and there are a few sequence-breaking glitches. Even so, this is the perfect game for seasoned Portal 2 players who desire a bit more time in the testing chambers of Aperture Science.

I mean, it's a game. Community is somewhat toxic and trading up is nearly impossible, but it's a game.

Amazingly extensive and intriguing story (or lack thereof, but it works here). Controls are simple yet effective, and stages have many creative ways to finish them. Definetely worth the two dollars, if you have the money to spend.
P.S. I actually found out about this game because I got a 90% off coupon when making badges, so kudos to you, Steam.

Amazing remake of the original for Playstation 1. Well worth the money, especially when on sale.
