Story is great.
Combat is fine.
Open world is boring.

I guess that's a 6/10.

You spend more time building your character and managing your inventory than actually fighting enemies...
I don't really know yet if I liked it or not but since I got an IP ban for no reason today I'll be giving a thumbs down for now.

Completely satisfies my ADHD needs

You can't press jump and grapple at the same time which ruins the experience quite a bit, also it would be 10 times more enjoyable on a controller which unfortunately is not supported.

If like me you just want to have a bit of fun blended with nostalgia and don't really care about progression or cosmetic items anymore, it's still enjoyable. Some new maps and game modes I don't really like as much but I believe it's more a matter of preference than anything else.

If you are here for the tasty visuals and a nice feeling of arcade driving, you should absolutely go for it!
Beware however this game has a few problems that could steal the fun:
- It lacks a good campaign with narrative and depth, instead you just compete on a few tournaments with no connection whatsoever and only slightly different from each other in terms of gameplay.
- Easy, medium and hard difficulties are each on a VERY different level, however you can get all the achievements on easy mode with automatic drifting, which will make the experience boring instead of challenging.
- There is no online multiplayer, only local.

Starts excellent and stay like that for 10 to 15 hours, then it gets frustrating, then it becomes boring.
The plot is a strong positive but it's own premise makes it repetitive on purpose.
You will probably need more luck than actual skill to finish the game and then you discover you have to finish it 9 more times to unlock the real ending.
It still gives you a bit of variety of dialogues and rewards after that but it just wasn't enough to keep me interested.
Is it a good game? Definitely, maybe even a great one, however it does not deserve a 98% rating on steam, that's why I'm giving it a thumbs down.
