THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE SINGLE PLAYER ONLY

I have mixed feelings about this game.

If you have played the 2 previous games you'll notice a significant difference between this and it's prequels. It is way more over the top with comedy that may seem forced at times and way more overused than the comedy in the 2nd game but sometimes it may make you laugh. The story is short and I completed the game in about 13 hours (including parts where I free roamed and didn't do any missions.) The rewards that you get in the game, (cribs, weapons etc) don't seem rewarding at all, and the previously mentioned story length may also play part in that. The cars in this game are fun to a degree but too easily accessible. The outfits are fun and the way you level up by changing them and buying new clothes encourages you to dress your fully customizable character in some pretty silly outfits that will look even funnier in cutscenes (which may I add are all framelocked to 30fps).

The world is interesting as you play the game but feels empty at times. It's size is small compared to other open world games and it isn't always satisfying cruising through it and after you're done with the game, it doesn't feel like there's much point exploring and driving around as it feels empty. Combat in missions can get repetetive, same as the quick-time events that are added to harder enemies. The ending feels rushed and leaves a lot to be desired. The same could be said with the character development or rather lack there of as I never felt attatched to my companions during the game and during the end of the game where you have a choice to save one, it feels more like a chore. Overall, fun can be had with this game, but it leaves a lot to be desired and can come as a slap in the face for fans of the 2 previous games.
