Edit: Man I love this game but it really lacks some of the key mechanics of the first like throwing/scraping weapons for example.

I think the level scaling approach was definitely a smart move though and make progression pretty fun. I remember in the first game when you first began it took ages just to kill one biter.

The graphics are generally the same, honestly I prefer the first games because it offered dynamic weather which this game does not have, which honestly is a biggggg oversight on the developers part. I think the nights really lack the intensity of the first games nights, due to the lack of volatilises, really miss those guys.

The level design and story is much better tho, in the first game especially in the base game there was clear copied and pasted assets everywhere, in this game each area feels pretty unique. The story in the base game of the first was OK, the side quest and missions were pretty uninspired and boring though, in saying that I really enjoyed the followings story. The side quest are much more detailed and interesting in this game. The new grappling hook design is much better imo, the grappling hook from the first game really made the game too easy, being able to essentially teleport anywhere you looked really effected the game-play.

Really feels like a DLC to the first more than a 60$ game- game-play wise. Content wise it is packed and I'm sure you will find yourself playing this for over 100hrs+.

I really hope they pull through will DLC, and make it atleast half as good as the following was.


Pretty fun, alot less zombies compared to the first one tho :(((((((((((((, And kindof give far cry new dawn vibes so take that as you will.

Very well made. Ads and car packs are kinda annoying though

this game is so close to being amazing, but still unplayable. Buy when on sale
