honestly this game feels 15 years old somehow and is just not compelling to me. sequel probably better?

good game, its worth trying again if ur an old cs player and quit playing around cs2 release bc of downgrades from csgo. its in a much better state now

a fantastic game, one of my favorites of all time. unfortunately in this stage of its life (coughing in a hospital bed terminally ill neglected by its caretakers) i cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone who hasn't already been enthralled by it. this is because of a blatant cheating issue the torn banner studios refuses to address. they will ban you from their discord, delete your posts in their subreddit and ban you from there too with the excuse of a "no witch hunting" rule they claim any exposure of these cheaters is in violation of.

these cheaters can fly around, 1 tap kill you, spawn entities, flood chat, respawn in place, disable their turn cap, and as of about a month ago, many cheaters have a keybind to CRASH THE SERVER. torn banner has been notified of this by hundreds of players and refuse to take action in nearly any way. if you play email tag with them for 2+ weeks, you may eventually get an individual account banned after providing ample proof. ALL of these cheaters have many alt accounts from previous free to keep deals on epic games and/or will just buy steam accounts with the game for a few bucks. oftentimes banning one from a community server will result in their return just minutes later to say some slurs in chat and crash the server.

the game is being killed and torn banner won't fix it and won't pull the plug, presumably until their contracts with sony, microsoft and nitrado run out.

it's a great game and there's nothing like it. unfortunately it is crippled by this problem no one can do anything about except TBS who seem pre-occupied with their massive failure no one needed, NMRIH2. hopefully they're secretly working on chiv 3 behind the scenes and we can do this whole song and dance again from the beginning in a couple years.
