I found Jurassic world: Evolution to be a altogether slightly above average theme park management game. However a couple of flaws detract from the whole experience. The Jurassic park/world skin makes it interesting and it is nice to get a spiritual successor to Jurassic park: Operation genesis. The game will last you about 50 hours if you want to do everything. However you can see the bulk of what the game has to offer in about 20. There is a sandbox island so if you get the itch to play again you can jump back into that. The asking price is £45/$60 (at time of writing) which I thought was a bit much. I felt that I had to really squeeze my monies worth out of this game. However, if you have disposable income there are worse deals out there.

Two point Hospital is a wonderful revival of the legacy left behind by Theme hospital that, whilst not being perfect, ticks all the right boxes. Particularly the satisfying treatment mechanics, the large variety of illnesses to treat and progression mechanics to give you something to work towards in each level. Also Having the same sense of humour as it’s predecessor is also very welcome. It gives the game a great levity that make it stand out amongst similar titles. Although there are minor issues like the performance at peak and sometimes strange pathfinding. They are hardly deal-breakers and don’t have much impact. Overall I would say that the amount of content on offer is great for the asking price. This is because this content is also quite re-playable and offers a few challenges.

Frostpunk, in my opinion is a brilliantly fresh take on the city-building and management genre. Notably by Adding a steampunk spin and a frozen apocalypse into the mix. It's various features, including it's challenging gameplay and wonderful graphic and sound design; come together to make what is ultimately a interesting, unique and niche title. The game will keep you busy for at least 20 hours if you complete hard versions of the scenarios. With an asking price of £25 / $29 (at time of writing) I would argue that is a fair deal.

"Cliff Empire is a mixed bag, on the one hand you have a wonderful art style, great mechanics and a tough but rewarding challenge. On the other you have to contend with a tedious early-mid game, obscure mechanics and a host of half baked features that get in the way of the good stuff. That being said however I feel that I should recommend Cliff Empire to any city building fans, I found that the late game was extremely rewarding and that even the tedious early game has some good moments here and there when you claw your way to new tech groups. This is all without mentioning that this game is extremely good value, being only £9 (at time of writing) on Steam which for the amount of content is insane. So overall, a flawed game with some great concepts, artwork and amazing value."

A gem of a game, this co-op criminals-r-us simulator makes waves in the already overpopulated 4 player co-op genre. Every class compliments another very well such as the enforcers brute force that compensates for the masterminds lack of damage in favor of team buffs and support.

This game is a blast when played with three friends that can result in some great moments that you will recall for ages. If you can get this game cheap or in steam sale I would not stop to think.

UPDATE:

Crimefest 2015: Added microtransactions after specificly stating that they wouldn't GG Overkill, lets stand back and watch this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ burn.

Update 100 update (lol): Removed microtransactions, gg.

This game is one of the finest experiances I have ever indulged in. The original Metro was a cult hit with it's dark and dank post apocalpse world, when this was tied with some of the best writing and voice acting I have seen in a game it made a refeshing full experiance. On top of all that was a solid gameplay that had viceral and unforgiving combat and some of the most interesting features I had ever seen like changing your filters to stay alive or keeping you flashlight charged.

Now the sequal Last light is upon us, to put it bluntly this game is one of the best (if not the best first person shooter I have ever played). Considering the budget and working conditions that 4A studios were constrained by, they produced a title of such worth that they are entiled to Game of the Year in my opinion.

9.5 / 10

This game is the very best that turn based stratagy can offer. A master-class level effort from the Fireaxis team that ozzes quality from the sound, art ,level and game design. While not as open as the original game in 1994 Xcom:UFO Defence, it still offers much tactical flexabilty and stripps away much of the uneeded fluff that plaged the OG.

The replayabilty is very high, with four levels of difficulty to choose and 5 starting locations to pick from, results in playthroughs that never quite pan out the same.

All in all this game is one of the very best of the past years, it is more than worthy to be a contender for game of the year and stands alongside titles such as borderlands 2 and Chiveraly: Medievil Warfare in terms of level of fun and longetivity.

A must buy
