hi cannot reply on 7dtd hub due to being banned as they did not like what i said, anyway your questions if your friend is hosting from his computer he needs a lot of ram to support the game maybe he has fat to big map and not enough ram to support it. . you need to mention what method you are trying to join him, i have a rented server had it for over last 7 years on 24/7 only got 8gig ram but as its a rented server no real problems, joining any server if its rented it depends on the map size used at present tfp are only using 8gig maps which should be stable if your friend has 16 gig or bigger maps not really suported and you will need atleast 16gig ram to play on it. hope this helps and sorry for posting on your wall.
