If you want a game that offers a solid shooting and story and respects your time , look no further, Quantum Break is such a fantastic ride. It tells you a story of Jack Joyce who has the super powers to control time, the story is divided in multiple chapters , each chapter also includes a mini live action episode, giving this whole game a vibe of a tv show, and it’s all very well paced in such way that each chapter ends with a cliffhanger.

On top of the very enticing story, the gameplay is REALLY good, like not only the guns feel amazing and punchy, the super powers like nice extras added to spice up the gameplay even more , there was points I felt like I was playing a pre-recorded scene, because how fluid everything played out.

It’s definitely a game I recommend giving a try, I don't think it has the same style of writing of games like Alan wake or Control but delivers a very compelling story throughout the whole game.

As far as this pc version goes, didn’t encounter many glitches or bugs ,besides the streaming the live action parts where sometimes they wouldn’t load at all, but trying to reload them from the menu did the trick for me, i think has to do with the fact the quality of the stream is really high and most of internets can’t keep it up with it, but please, let us download the whole files!

Play it!

Tekken 8

Tekken 8 is back, after the long life of 7 years with tekken 7 was time for a change , but was tekken 8 the change that people wanted? Maybe not but I do feel like tekken 8 does good things to keep a more broader audience engaged with the game.

For starters the visual upgrade from
The previous game to this one is astonishing, the characters now are way more expressive , the landscapes look very detailed, overall game is closer to the cgi style that we always dreamed of back in ps2 days .

The offline content it offers although not as good as tekken 5 or 6 I do feel like tekken 8 has a good value for those who don’t want to invest time in the jungle of online play.

But if you really like REALLY want to unleash your inner gamer power, then the competitive world of tekken is the right place for you, tekken 8 main gameplay goes around being aggressive , and this doesn’t come from someone who lost 0-2 to a dragunov player , but rather the development team itself.

As way to combat those pesky players who like to block the whole match, Namco decides to create this gameplay mechanic called, heat system. The idea is to have this special meter bar that allows you to enhance your character abilities for a short period of time, this also will allow you to extend combos but more importantly be able to more easily open opponents defense.

It’s a system that quite honestly I do felt like it’s very fun because it can it gives tons of options for combos or doing conversions.

But also can lead to not so fun moments specially when being the victim of the heat system, and this where I do feel like tekken 8 falls short , some characters have some Incredible strong oppression tools during heat, making a lot of situations frustrating , this one of my major complains about the game , it does feels too aggressive at time, to the point that some characters I’m literally waiting for their heat petrol to run out .

Personally, I’m not super into the balancing of the game as it is right now and the overall aggressive gameplay style it wants to offer , with that said , would be unfair to give a negative review because I still think there’s fun to be had with this game, offline content is a step up, so….

Play it !

I’m going to be truly honest without River City Girls, there’s a lot of things I liked about this game but there’s also a lot of things that I didn’t like about it,

River City Girls, as the title might suggest, is a game in the “River City” Universe , it’s a 2D beat 'em up , where you play as either Kyoko or Misako in their journey to find their lost boyfriends.

One of the selling points, at least for me, is how beautiful the artstyle of this game is. It combines beautiful 2D sprites with hand drawn animated cutscenes out of a ps1 or sega saturn era, this was enough to convince my smooth brain to buy this game.

The game itself doesn’t take itself too seriously, the writing is funny and voice acting really matches the vibe of the characters. It's a good time.

While there’s a lot of positives , the negatives do really stand out , for starters the enemies are BULLET SPONGES (or should I call kicks/punch sponges?) do take quite a lot of hits to get them knocked down, these issues will lead to being cornered by enemies, leading to very frustrating moments.

These issues become “less of an issue” when you upgrade your character but with that said, getting money to get those set upgrades it’s not easy. If your character dies, you lose a ton of money. For example, if you get 600$ from a boss, if you happen to die afterwards, you likely lose around 250$.

There’s definitely methods to grind that money, but it seems like an issue that could be easily solved by making the death penalty less egregious, the overall game felt like it was more designed for co-op play.

On the subject of co-op the game only has local co-op which is very unfortunate, no way to change controls in game…feels very barebones.

I do understand while some people might find this game appealing, and I do agree the game has a lot of charm!
But personally I wish it was more balanced .

It must have been like 13 years ago, me being a stinky toddler reading on a PC magazine about this mod called black mesa, they had this vision of bringing the original Half Life to a more Modernised and updated look that would be closer to half life 2, and that vision today is a full fledged product that you can buy!

Black Mesa It's a love letter to the original half life, and if you want to revisit its a fantastic way to do it, it maintains the same visual language of the original , it almost in way that's how you remember in your mind how Half Life 1 was suppose to look like, and only after look back at the original you realised how much upgraded this game looks like

Don't take me wrong the original game still has its charm, but i really liked this remake, the only thing i want to point out, i wasn't super fan of the new xen levels they added, they visually look really good but i felt like dragged for too long.

With that said, i still recommend this one, fantastic remake.

For the past few years, the fighting games have been living in this bubble where they cost 60 bucks, and offer very little value to the common player

Personally I don’t mind paying for that kinda experience because I always loved playing and learning fighting games. With that said, It’s a really tough sell for those who have never played/have little experience with Fighting games.

It's a commitment that I don’t think many people are willing to make, especially when there are other competitive games that cost virtually 0.

Street Fighter 6 is a wake up call to fighting games, it offers very solid content for both competitive and casual audiences alike in a way that feels worth the price tag.

Starting from a competitive side of things , just like any other Street Fighter game SF6 it’s a more grounded fighting game focusing on controlling space and finding the right opportunity to attack, with that said SF6 shakes things up a bit with this new bar called Drive Gauge.

This new Drive Gauge bar will be your “key” to break into your opponent's defense, giving access to tools such as parries, armored moves ect. Although a very powerful tool, the drive gauge it’s also a double edge sword. If you are too aggressive , you risk losing it and enter “Burnout” state, where your character gets debuffs, in the same way if you are being too defensive, you can also lose that Drive Gauge as well.

It’s a very interesting design choice, it rewards both defensive and aggressive playstyle in a way that you’re required to have both to be successful in this game.

Obviously I couldn’t mention SF6 without talking about world tour mode, if playing online isn’t much your thing, the world tour will be mode for you, basically it takes this story driven open world adventure sorta like like an Rpg ,you will be fighting random npcs on the street, getting xp, learning new moves.
While not super deep, it's a fantastic way to learn the game without being overwhelmed by online play.

It’s a really nice package, I totally recommend it even if you don’t want to get super into the competitive aspect of it.

It’s a fun game, it’s definitely a new standard for fighting games. Play it!

small note on pc version performance , the game is beautifully optimised on pc as you expect from a RE engine game, BUT I've noticed the world tour mode runs significantly worse than regular battles, i assume it has to do with vram usage, i recommend lower the texture quality.

A beary good day to everyone, today I want to tell you about a videogame I recently played by the name of persona 4 it’s a beary good game.

I always felt lonely, because I don’t have friends in real life, but persona 4 has finally allowed me to live in the world of my own kawaii Japanese high school and reach it out to the truth.

I also like to state that Yukiko is objectively the best girl, and I feel how many steaks would love if she was real. On the other hand, I must sadly say that people who like Risette have absolutely poor taste in women. I play Persona 4 for the visual novel elements.

I only want to feel good with virtual friends in a comfortable atmosphere.

Psychonauts it's a super interesting platformer , it combines the jumping and exploration of a typical 3D platformer with some puzzle solving that's very reminiscent of 90s Adventures Pc games.

You play as Raz, which is this kid who has powerful psychic powers, and the main concept of this game it's going into people's mind, and each mind represents a completely different level with their own set of rules, their mental state will dictate how a level will look feel and play, and that's one of the coolest things this game has to offer.

Now you should also take in consideration that this it's a game from 2005 and you might encounter some "clunkyness" in the platforming , but overall i'd say it still holds up tremendously well.

Get it!

Best thing about this game isn't the surviving, rather f**k around with zombies finding the most effective way to kill using as little ammo as possible, then waste it all the ammo in a boss battle, it's beautiful.

Also you need to save some monkey girl or something.

10/10 Masterpiece.
(also give it a look in the HD mod, will blow your mind)
