The game takes the best things about Unreal Tournament and Portal, puts them together and makes a fast-paced innovative FPS that my son and I have been playing pretty much non stop over the last two days. Server response times are slow, but it is worth the wait once into the game. I really look forward to seeing how it develops over the next months, and to some quality gaming time with 'the boy'!

This game is always going to be five minutes and then on to something else. Two hours later and I'm still trying to get the next stage on the tech tree, making better looking lamps for the kitchen and making windows for the above ground house that has been mud, wood, clay and now brick. Monsters are just around the corner, so why not spend another twenty minutes until they arrive?

This evening was going to be one of those quick pop-ins to finish a couple of tasks before going on to play something else, two hours later, here we are. It is a zen game, there aren't constant battles and adrenaline rushes, which is probably why it has given me so many hours of entertainment and will certainly give me many more in the future.

Highly recommended.

I will admit to being relatively new to the game, and to the MOBA format, however, there are things that some reviewers are saying that I have not experienced, and think that there needs to be balance. I have had no significant problems loading anything so far (Three days playing), there are indeed mixed ability teams, but that is just a part of the learning curve. I have won some games and lost some others, and am becoming a better player because of it. Sticking to one God has helped know how they work, and how best I work with each character. It does seem like newer gamers aren't prepared to put the work in to games any more which is sad, because this is a good title. You can get everything in the game through playing, money doesn't need to change hands. Have patience, give it a go and see what you think. If not, try completing Desert Island Dizzy without rage quitting, then come back to this and see if you still feel the same!

Early Access Review
First and foremost, this game is not pay to win. Obviously, if you do pay then you can get things quicker, but it doesn't really have any major influence on winning or not. I have been using a combination of cards that is mostly made up of the ones that I started the game with and have won more than I have lost. With regular playing and completing the challenges, you can build up a good deck and save shards and rubies to open up new characters and arenas. Obvously, if you are impatient and want to get everything immediately, then paying for the premium upgrade will help you to unlock all the main masters and some arenas. Some grinding will always be present in games where there are unlockables.

A lot of people have made the comment that the game is dependent on luck, which I don't think is entirely true - tactics can win the game. Spamming low cost cards will sometimes work, but carefully using the deck will get around this. If you don't invest time in the game, then it will feel superficial. Give it some time, try out new masters and card combinations until you find soemthng that works and then go with that.

The graphics are great, the animation is smooth and the community isn't full of people shouting obscenitites at each other. Gameplay is well paced and balanced - but it does take time to master.

An excellent game that I look forward to seeing grow. Highly recommended.

This game could give serious lessons to a lot of big brand games that are about ten times as big.

You decide whether to be a pirate, a member of a faction, to go and fight everything you see or to trade around the different maps. There are plenty of upgrades and things to collect, missions and custmisation. Most impressively of all it is only 100 meg of game!

I am really impresed with this and will be watching this company for future releases.

This game is everything I wanted Gauntlet to be back when I was about eight yers old. One of those "Just one last game..." That will have you lose a whole afternon without realising it.

Eight bit senseless violence with plenty of upgrading and challenges, lots of monsters and characters aplenty to play with. Very highy recommended.

After seeing a lot of the more negative reviews on here I was a bit wary about getting the game at all, but after giving it some time and patience I have to say it is nothing like as terrible as some have accused it of being. In fact it has brought me back to playing the previous version and enjoying both of them again.

It does seem strange that in times when things change so fast people are so obstinate about anything being even slightly different; the reaction every time facebook makes a minimal change there is always some kind of uproar from the masses about how terrible it all it, the apocalypse is coming etc. The same seems to have happened here. There are certainly differences, and once you have got used to them the system actually works very well. Trendy have listened to all of the complaints and have made efforts to address them. There is now a single player mode that is easy to access, there are shortcuts in the item boxes for quick selling etc all of which are complaints that have been voiced over the last weeks (see below reviews)

Loading time at the beginning if you have a slower connection is a bit of a pest, but once in everything is smooth, give it some time and have some patience it is worth it in the end.

Simple, and that is the beauty. I could lose (and have already lost) substantial time playing this. The premise is simple - eat all the furniture in the office and don't get attacked by the security bots. Minimalist, frustrating, addictive and really good value for money. Don't waste another second. Buy it!!
