First of all:
I strongly recommend anyone interested in playing Omori to do it as blindly as possible. If you want to have some kind of reference, it might be comparable to other games/experiences like Undertale, OneShot, YumeNikki and other RPG Maker-ish games.

It is important to note, that very heavy and serious topics considering mental health are depicted and handled within the context of the game and a rather good headspace is absolutely recommended before heading into it. Despite that, I feel like the mentioned topics are portrayed in a unique and respectful way without watering them down or simplifying them neither. It is quite the rollercoaster of emotions.

Besides an incredible story, charming visuals and a mood-setting score, Omori offers a meaty amount of side content to explore, multiple routes/endings and a robust and fun combat system.

Hecc, I am debating with myself whether it can beat Undertale for me.

Sometimes I talk to my friends about Farming Sim and how fun it is. They look at me with dead eyes and ask me if I am serious and how I can find something mundane like this fun?
Well, it is sooo relaxing, soothing and also kinda exciting when you get to buy new equipment and vehicles.
It is a nice game to sit back, relax and indulge in pure farming bliss (minus the hard physical labour).

You know you are playing a great game, when you are "stoically" trying to form the Irish Nation(because they are awesome folks ofc) and get the "Luck of the Irish"-Achievement but your filthy english neighbour is hogging Dublin City which you so verily want to integrate into your country and out of frustration you decide to ♥♥♥♥ Europe and leave for the Carribean to be the greatest colony overlord of all times.... to wait for a perfect moment of english weakness to strike like the fithly opportunist you are :^)

This "game" is for sure not meant for every soul out there. But those who might be worthy of playing it, are to experience all the horror one man can perceive and beyond.
In all seriousness, this game feels rather like an experiment, a work of art with some mixed in gameplay elements.
Is that a bad thing?
Certainly not. I enjoyed my short, yet emotional intense and lovecraftian horror ride down to the abyss and further.

How do you know this game is good for you?
- like H.P. Lovecraft and everything that associates with him
- like experimental concepts
- etc.

I really love how the devs created an atmosphere which felt truly like a scenario right out of lovecraft story.
I loved it despise its shortness.
11/10 would certainly doom again
