Learning to play is fairly simple as their isn't much for controls, but....
When you learn to fly with your rocket propelled car the game really opens up and you start to really learn how to play.

Their is more than just soccer modes however which includes, hoops, hockey, and the newest mode dropshot where teams of 3 try to break the oppenents side of the floor than score through the hole they have created.

Car selection is pretty good if you're willing to pay for all the dlc's and keys to find the others. Car's are mostly cosmetic with the shape of the vehicle being the only gameplay difference. (all cars have same speed/acceleration)
