Excellent, but needs balancing in multiple ways.
Negatives:
The Adamant Poker boss makes sudden movements, which I cannot possibly avoid. The Flying Luthers often bounce back to the player right after breaking down. Most other bosses are tedious. Furthermore on balancing, all non-boss levels are quite easy and require little thinking. The progression makes it so you simply are attacking more enemies later down the line, but it's arguably easier because of the items you get along the way. Third thing on balancing: I do not see why anyone would choose any weapon other than the pencils, it has decent range (EXTREMELY good range with paint thinning), infinite piercing, and a large radius of damage. I'm split between my second choice of weapon, but the pencils seem way too powerful. Fourth thing: The bullet enemies are quite annoying, as they only distract me and unnecessarily lengthen my playing time. Fifth thing: items that increase damage have little to no use on any enemy that's not a boss, unless you're using the spray can.

Positives:
The items add character to the game, and make gameplay very satisfying. So much so that the overall gameplay experience was a positive, which is saying a lot seeing the above. The rainbow, potential, life and money options for levels I found were a fun way for me to make decisions on my character as well.

What I want in the future:
-Some form of Newgame+, as the dev has mentioned in the community tab (maybe some form of metaprogression as well)
-Bosses that are challenging yet fair and not tedious
-Levels that require thinking, a good example is the levels that include the presents spawned in wall formations, if not careful you can get yourself stuck in a corner without a certain way out.
-Individual enemy progression. What I mean by this is that later levels have normal enemies with larger amounts of health, instead of there just being more of them. This would make the levels later on harder and also make attack items more useful.
