Not the [game changer] many expected, but a decent game with a great story so far (I've yet to finish the main story line) and with gobsmacking good graphics.
(Just FYI, playing it on a Ryzen 7 1700 with GTX1080. Even without RTX it's still good looking and running at 60+ fps on ultra)

No new mechanics. Just the same old stuff in a different setting, but oh... what a glorious setting it is.

It's got some bugs, but I haven't experienced any game breaking ones yet (50+ hours in). I'm sure the rest will get patched up real quick and I've played games with more bugs than this. So QA failed a bit but despite the occasional glitch that can mostly be solved with a quick save reload, I find myself coming back to finish the story and contemplating how I'll play it on the second and third play through.

So yea, I'd say it's a great game. If you can pick it up on a sale, awesome. Otherwise, if you have the eddies to burn, I'd say you could do a lot worse than this game. FFS, I've bought absolute junk before in the same price range. This is an unpolished gem (for now), but I've no doubt that CDPR will tweak it.

Space Engineers is a really awesome creative game. A definite recommend if you love sci-fi, engineering and played with Lego as a kid.

Epic story. You can play it just for this, especially the F2P which won't cost you a cent and give you 3 free story campaigns you can solo, or do with friends.

Bungie's new idea of pitching new players in at high levels to enable them to participate in most content almost immediately, instead working their way up from 0, does takes away a lot of the fun in progression. I, for one, almost always play a game for the development of your character and the feeling of accomplishment when you level up, get new abilities and are able to tackle bigger challenges... now you practically get handed high level characters on a silver platter and in the beginning you wonder around thinking "what's the point of playing then?"

At the start new players will be totally confused about where to start and what to do. I was, and the discussion forums are full of other players feeling the same. But if you stick with it, I'm 70 hours in and so far I'm still having fun. The first three campaigns kept me busy for quite a number of those hours but was interesting enough that I got Shadowkeep and probably will get Forsaken as well.

Well, point is... if it's free to play, it's worth playing, and you might find you like it enough to pay up for some more of the story content.

Like to smash zombie brains in? Recommended.

It's a really fun and addictive game.

Kudos to the developers for continuing to update and improving the game.

I've played 400 hours without any game breaking bugs.

If you want to keep busy for most of the time, play the normal playthroughs.
If you want a story, play the Heartland DLC (though it's not exactly an earth-shattering story)
If you want to kill a ton of zombies, play the Daybreak DLC.

I.e there is something for everyone.

Witcher 3 might have been released in 2015 but it has aged very well. The GFX is still on par with other more modern titles.

It's a DOOM game. Both classic and new at the same time. Highly recommended.

Sic* game. Definitely recommended for Oculus or Vive users tho the flat-screen mode is great fun as well.

Not for the impatient gamer tho: the mechanics has a steep learning curve and the modifications can be extremely frustrating in the beginning when you don't understand the consequences of your changes. I swore like a sailor multiple times. In fact sailors probably would've been ashamed of some of the cussing that went on but if you stick with it, you'll get there, and then it becomes some serious fun. Admittedly, I still suffer from VR motion sickness but d**n... it's glorious regardless. I'd probably rate it around moderate "comfort" rating in the beginning but definitely extreme when you finally hit speeds in excess of 1000km/h and boost around the track constantly between the occasional narrow canyons, or through mountain-side tunnels, and in VR mode your stomach will turn upside down and inside out... and it's the best darn rush out there...

Due to my still being prone to vr motion sickness, 50% of my game time so far is actually on flat screen but it's still seriously fun. Otherwise I play with an Oculus Rift v1 and HOTAS and can't comment on other HMD's or controllers (incl KBM) but definitely recommend it if you have a HOTAS and Vive or Oculus HMD (i think those are the only two supported so far according to in-game menu).

PS. there is NOT a lot of guidance on the net or in-game. Sp4m made 3 player guides on steam and I'd seriously recommend reading each of them after doing the tutorials.

PSS for the developer (solo project, I understand?) ... congratulations on a great game! and for bringing us a great experience.
