I hope NetEase is paying attention to the community and reading these negative comments, besides the ones complaining about performance issues and "gooner game" there is a really big problem with this game that will destroy the shrinking playerbase if not addressed soon.

EOMM (Engagement-Optimized-MatchMaking) is a system this game uses to place people in certain win-loss patterns in order to manipulate the player into playing longer. A common misconception is that this is trying to create a 50% win rate but this is different, it will put you into artificial win streaks to make you feel good about yourself, and then an artificial loss streak in hopes you will keep playing in order to chase one win. It does this by reading your player data, concerning the heroes you play well and often, and who you play well/bad against and well/bad with on your team. It will also keep track of which role you prefer to play (Tank/dps/support) and also which maps you are good at.

It uses this data to compile players together and it sorts the teams out in a way that makes the outcome of the match very predictable. For example if you are a dive player and it wants you to win, it will place you on a team of two tanks, two dps, and two supports and the enemy team will have something like 4 support players and two dps players none of whom have experience on anti-dive heroes like namor, loki, or the thing.If it wants you to lose it will do the same to you, every single game until you leave. This is proven to be the case as many people notice if you lose 2 games in a row and you keep playing, you will almost guarantee to lose every single game for the rest of the day. Meanwhile if you just stop playing after 2 losses you will come back to a guaranteed win.

NetEase very clearly wants to cater to the casual community, and if this is the the community at large then this wouldn't be much of a problem however most of the casual players are gone, the hype has died down and majority of the playerbase is playing the game competitively, the casuals may stick around a couple weeks after a big update but the competitive players are the ones that will keep this game alive in the long term, and the longer it takes for NetEase to realise this, the more players they will lose. Competitive players do not want to play in a broken system, if the game isn't giving them a raw competitive experience when queueing for ranked then we will not play anymore because it is unfair.

There are many issues besides the matchmaking of course but the developers have proven to listen to the community and many things have gotten better, the performance of this game is significantly better than it was on release, the balancing is sometimes hit or miss but overall its pretty good and they do move the tides in different directions which keeps the meta constantly changing and interesting which I like. The skins are great and the content releases are very frequent so I know the developers care a lot about keeping this game alive and I hope one of them sees this and does something about this matchmaking issue. We need a matchmaking system that matches players based on skill level (and a soft role-queue making sure both teams have at least one support/tank) and no deceptive manipulative mind games with your players because I will not be playing until this is addressed.

i definitely recommend giving this game a try if you are considering it, its a lot of fun
for starters to describe what this game is, it takes place in a dystopian city with 3 factions, cortex (police), neutral(civilians/workers). and scum (terrorists/cultists). the police enforce the law and protect the city, neutrals
do basic work duties for money or they fix/clean the city after the terrorists destroy it and wreak havoc
its not rp like in gmod or gta where if you break the server rules a flying admin will put you in jail. there are no admins and the only rules are what you can get away with and not get killed. (also if you teamkill your allies you lose a lot of credits so you aren't supposed to do that but its not completly impossible)
i played a little bit of police but mostly scum and I had a great time, i recommend using the wiki and/or watching a guide as you play because not everyhting is so obvious

now for the developers i have some suggestions, I think dancing emotes are a must at this point and the people will buy them i know it, you cant have a nightclub and no dancing it doesnt make sense

also the people of the underworld need some way to recover sanity besides cigarettes because once the server fills up you will find one cigarette per hour of looting, maybe participating in sacrifices or using the slots machine in the bar can recover a little bit because often times I run out of sanity, cant see anything at all because its pitch black down there, no cigarettes or anything and I cant go tothe surface because I cant see 5 feet in front of me so I will find it worth to just kill myself and spend 15 credits to respawn as zealout and regain my sanity that way

also one last thing we need more storage in the underworld, usually we all hang around one workbench and one chest is not enough for all our goodies so maybe two boxes next to each workbench could be nice

SIege X was supposed to be their attempt at bringing players back and breathing new life into the dying game, however this "big update" adds basically nothing new to the game, except the graphics look worse, the menu looks like a mobile game, ads and popups everywhere trying to get you to spend money on cosmetics. The sound is buggy and doesn't work properly, clash rework is so bad I don't know how it got to live servers and you CANT BAN HER? I can't name one improvement Siege X brings that I noticed in the few hours I played before uninstalling again. Also as someone who owned the game since 2015 all I get is a free black ice for a gun that nobody uses?? 0/10 if you are thinking of returning just save the disk space its just as bad as it was when you left.

I can't say if this game is good or not because the optimization is so bad its unplayable, I have an RTX 3080 and i struggle to get more than 25 fps overall and some areas it drops to 10 on the lowest settings. This game runs so poorly its basically unplayable and if you don't have a better graphics card than me then I would never recommend this to anybody.

Worth every penny, I've always appreciated these developer's games like Welcome to the Game I and II. It's always a perfect mix of challenge, strategy, and puzzling while always having to watch your back from the killers that come after you the entire game. It took me multiple attempts to beat this game and I loved every single one.

My only note is there were a few times I had died that felt had no explanation or were unfair deaths, one the Noir killer spawned behind me when I was locking my room and when I backed up I walked into her and died. Another which I have yet to find out about, I went up to the roof to grab a package and was interrupted by an animation of Lucas just shooting me and ending the game. There was no warning and no explanation why that happened, after googling apparently it was because my door was left open, however I remember closing the door and him showing up on the roof has no connection to that door. It would have made more sense if he just met you in your apartment to kill you.

take everything you heard that was good about this game and forget it because this game is GARBAGE since the most recent patch, i get this stuff is only temporary and they're just testing but if hi-rez really thought people would like this patch, this game doesnt have much of a bright future.

Whatever the most recent update did ♥♥♥♥♥♥ THE GAME UP, it was really helpful for my aim but now the menu is so ♥♥♥♥ and laggy, and some modes are now unplayable. Good job dev you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up.
