Early Access Review
Watching the early trailer videos compared to how it is now (the very first video that auto plays on the store page) it feels/looks slightly different especially with the early game HUD they should've kept. Me thinking "Hey, me and my friends wanted to play a co-op game similar to L4D!" One main thing that's non existent in GTFO of course... MATCHMAKING. I don't like that you have to go into GTFO's Discord server to find complete strangers and having to give a code out and hopefully finding the right set of folks to even get a game going. Another thing that I don't like about GTFO is the fact you have to be stealthy pretty much the entire time... (do not disturb the L4D witches in a nutshell) don't get me started about (if your character's cough due to the lack of fog repellers because now you actually need them with recent updates) I don't know how realistic they're trying to make this game but with its unforgiving "you or one of your teammates messes up you all pay the price" which okay that's fine but the fact that a single level can take up to almost 3-4 hours... only to have to do it all over again and only having the lockers/enemy layout change each time feels... eh. Also having the weapons change with every "Rundown" update kinda sucks it feels like I just gave them $35 to play DLC's that rotate and never being able to play what you missed out on ever again... I'm a person that likes playing with friends but having to beat something before a new rotation/rundown comes in feels like I'm being rushed but that's just me.

I don't know how many rundowns they can pull off with (try not to disturb these L4D witches BUT with new weapons and new layouts each update) it's getting kinda old really fast. Until they implement a proper matchmaking system, I'd say wait HOWEVER as of writing this review the game is only $27.99 and if you really like to spend 3+ hours of being stealth like, trying not to alert the enemies as simple as to coughing etc in a single level and testing your friendship with your buds, go for it.
