An atmospheric city builder with emphasis on choice.

I got this game because I kept hearing so many good things about it and boy am I glad I did. Frostpunk throws you into the role of a captain in charge of a group of people looking to find a new home in the frozen wasteland. You will be forced to make tough decisions, pass difficult laws, build up a brand new city, and ensure the survival of your people at all costs.

Things like child labour, mass graves, banishment, religious facism, and more at your disposal. Frostpunk encourages you to make your own story every time you play, and it does so in spades. One playthrough had me become a religious despot hell bent on survival through the use of automatons, child labour, and food rations. Another playthrough lead me down a militant path, jailing and executing those who opposed my rule.

There are a total of 4 scenarios in Frostpunk, all of which will challenge your survival skills. Will you be able to save the last collection of seedlings? Will you ensure that Winterhome, the final bastion of humanity, will stay standing? Will you be successful in finding a new home for the Londoners that have followed you into the Frostlands?

I can't recommend this game enough. If you enjoy city builders with survival mechanics (Like Banished) then Frostpunk is for you. It's soaking in atmosphere, and the gameplay mechanics will have you hooked from evening to dawn.
