Blasphemous is dark, brutal and challenging.
The pixel art's great, the boss fights are fun, and I really like the voice acting.
It's a good metroidvania, but I thought I would've enjoyed it a lot more tbh.

If you're looking for an awesome Contra-like run and gun, look no further.

The controls are smooth, the boss fights are fun, and I like the arcade feel of the game. It's challenging but satisfying and you're able to unlock hardcore mode after first completing it on normal.
There's definitely some references to other retro games such as Metal Slug, Battletoads, Mega Man, and Star Fox which is cool.
They also couldn't have picked a better track for the credits... it's so good. 😍

I really enjoyed this one, highly recommended! We need a Blazing Chrome 2!

Float away in this chill & relaxing adventure game.
The scenery's nice and it's got a very feel-good soundtrack. The grassy fields also reminded me of the Codecreatures benchmark from back in the day. 😁

A good amount of old school titles from Namco.
It's got your typical features including save states, rewind, scanlines and background wallpapers, but it's really just a basic collection though with no real bonuses.
Dig Dug and Dragon Spirit were the highlights for me. 👍

Itorah is a beautiful looking platformer, but it's nothing to write home about.

Pros:
-The hand-drawn art & animations are fantastic and I love how vibrant the environments look.
-Soundtrack is pretty good.
-A fair amount of save spots throughout the world.

Cons:
-The game starts out slow and takes a while to actually pick up.
-Controls weren't as smooth as I would've liked and combat felt a bit awkward.
-A lot of areas seem empty and when you do come across enemies, they aren't very engaging and most of the time you can just skip them.
-There's no difficulty option and with the game being so forgiving, it just seems a little on the easy side.
-Bosses weren't that fun to fight except for maybe a couple.

I really wanted to like Itorah, unfortunately I found it kinda boring to be honest.
Overall it's not a bad game, it's just not great either, and the visuals can only carry it so much.

What an awesome and mysterious puzzle platformer. If you enjoy games like Limbo and Inside you'll probably enjoy this as well.
I love the dark and creepy atmosphere, also the fact that it uses the Unreal engine makes it that much more visually appealing.
The sound design's fantastic too, from the small creaks to the little nomes scurrying away to the terrifying enemy encounters all adds to the immersion.

It's a pretty short game, but definitely worth it. 👍

Unfortunately I never played the original when it was released on the Saturn so I don't really have any nostalgia for this, and while I wasn't a fan of the boss fights, I did like the environments and thought the visuals looked great in this remake.

One thing that was annoying was the Lifeless achievement, because needing 100+ hours play time in a game that takes less than 2 hours to complete with little replay value makes sense. 😑

On another note, if you're having trouble getting your controller to work, right click the game and go to properties, controller, and instead of using the default settings, change it to disable steam input. My 8bitdo bluetooth controller worked fine after that.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is an enjoyable rail shooter, but I'd only grab it when it's on sale.

A nice collection of the original six Mega Man games.

It's gotta clean interface and cool features including a music player, challenge mode and a museum with lots of artwork and concept art which is always interesting to look at.

I did enjoy the level remixes and boss rush in challenge mode, thought they were fun, but also looking at the built-in leaderboards and video replays of others made me realize just how bad I am at Mega Man. 😄

Oooh dap dap!

An action-adventure-horror game with an interesting art style and eerie atmosphere.
I really love the sound design, everything from the enemies exploding to the daps communicating to the calm & intense soundtrack, all top-notch! I even got some Silent Hill vibes.
Also wandering around the dark forest alone had me on edge, but when you end up gathering more daps it's pretty cool having a little army follow you around. 😎
I do wish there were more controller options though as you're just limited to two preset configs, but using a keyboard & mouse allows you to remap any button not to mention you're able to aim further and dash/shoot/heal at the same time.

Don't sleep on this one, it's a great game! 👍

A decent collection of arcade classics from Konami. And while I don't have any nostalgia for most of these games other than Life Force & Nemesis (Gradius) that I played on the NES, they were all still pretty fun.

But damn these games are hard as hell, even with the save feature 😲
