Fantastic game! It scratched that itch of collectible hunting, smooth movement, and great gunplay. Paired with a superb soundtrack as you flip, swing, and fly through the hordes of enemies. It's been awhile since a game sucked me in like this. I may have 100%-ed this game in 7 hours, but not a second was wasted. Can't wait for what future updates have in store!

If you're a enjoyer of challenging platformer's such as Jump Knight, Pogostuck or Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, I'd imagine you'll enjoy this. I'll admit, this is the first of those type of games that I've finished/did a full playthrough of. The only problem I could imagine hardcore challenge platformer players is that the highest difficulty is fairly forgiving (three tries per checkpoint). So, hardcore challenge seekers, I recommend going for the ol' beat the game in 1 try challenge. There's an achievement for it anyway.
In terms of aesthetic, I enjoy the 64 bit vibe. Low detail and moody coloring really gives life to the one level. Of course the plaza/hub area looks great. Though, inspiration is really on the sleeve there. But I ain't complaining.
For music, I recommend bringing your own set of songs. Not that what was given was bad, but just tiresome after a few hours. And hey, if you got your own midi files, those can be played in game by just dropping them in the game's midi folder and toggling custom midis.
The platforming of the game is fine. I'm able to control my knight with consistent control. Like any challenging platformer, just gotta learn how the character moves. You'll learn to playthrough the one level with ease eventually.
My only real big gripe for the platforming is landing on slopes became my enemy. I call it stutter landing/drop. Your knight will be landing on a slope and sometimes the change in elevation of the slope would cause them to fall and land again. I can't replicate 100% consistently, so sorry dev for being 0 help in investigating this issue. But this is only a problem because the small stuttered drop leaves you in air. Therefore, I'm unable to jump due to not being on the ground. Lost so many jumps to this quirk. Didn't stop me from doing a playthrough on the hardest difficulty though.
So, this is an easy recommend from me. I got it on sale for 5 USD. It's also worth the retail 10 USD price in my opinion. If it has your interest, odds are it's worth your money. And to Modus Interactive, I'll keep my eyes peeled on your previous and upcoming games. Can't wait to see what else is being cooked.
