Let me start by saying I just don't review games. I rarely ever feel the need. Given the 'mixed' reviews for this game, I felt as though I wanted to chip in with my thoughts.

Starting with servers... I have experienced no issue with servers or random disconnecting or crashing. The servers seem responsive, fast and lag free. Whether this aspect will change I'm not sure but so far so good. I'm unsure if some of the negative reviewers possibly experienced this during the early stages of development.

On to the game. If you have played FPS games since the early COD days or CS days you'll know what I mean by a raw shooter. This game is as basic as it gets. Guns, aim and skill. Jumping around corners, fast flick shots, quick scoping and jump-proning are basically what determine the better players. If you aren't used to high speed mechanics and an extremely high skill cap then you're probably going to join the list of negative reviewers. You aren't going to get any advantages or 'exciting' perks and you're not going to have your hand held. If the new Call of Duty games give you enjoyment to play and you expect a tad more realism then I'd say you just aren't going to enjoy this game. If, however, you miss the idea of straight up FPS warfare and are constantly looking to fill the void that was left by the original CODs then this will tick every box.

I debated buying this game for a long time based on the reviews I read but interestingly the negative ones are what swayed me to buy it. Peoples perceptions of flaws for this game are in my opinion the reason I'll continue to play it for a long time.
