This is a very clever and great puzzle game that can be put up there with the greats like Return of The Obra Dinn. I prefered the art style of the first game but still the puzzles and the stories are just as exciting as the first one and this is where the game pushes the player to think outside the box. I am very excited to play the DLCs of this game as I enjoyed the DLC of the first game too.

With this formula the developers have right now, where they can come up with new scenarios and clever ways to make them into puzzles with a different art style each game, I could play a thousand of these games and would still be enjoying.

This is one of the best games of 2023 and that means a lot if you consider all the great games that came out. It is really a shame that game of this genre never get the same amount of applause that other titles with mainstream appeal receive but it is what it is.

Very ambitious debut game from "We Create Stuff" that resembles the latest Resident Evil games, Amnesia, Half-Life and even What Remains of Edith Finch (in the sense of its story-telling).

My biggest complaint is the frequency of loot spawning. I haven't played the game in hard mode but the situation in the normal mode just makes inventory management type of gameplay meaningless, as anything I need would spawn right when I enter the next room. Another weak point is the enemy design (other than the bosses), there are a total of 3 enemy types throughout the campaign which gets pretty repetitive after a while.

But this review is a very positive one, as this is also one of the most imaginative and thought-out indie games I've played in a while. Every level added new mechanics and interesting puzzle ideas, as well as interesting story and villains. I would be very excited to play a sequel of this game, if there will ever be one.

I highly recommend this game, if you liked other games in the genre like the Rusty Lake series. Although the puzzles were a bit too dependent on reading texts for my liking, I found the general art style and a lot of the design choices phenomenal.

Overall a good puzzle game with no flaws, if you have no problem with reading some texts.
