Aside from the character creator, this game is super bare bones. I wish they would keep updating it too (because there's barely any poses or locations,) but as of writing this review they haven't updated it for a year.

If power rangers and a turn based battle game had a baby. Also, the character customization, very nice.

Early Access Review
It's Rytmik, but you have the ability to edit instruments much easier and now have polyphonic instruments. There's also a live mode, but that's DLC, and I haven't seen anybody really use it yet by the time I wrote this review. Also, you can even upload files from Rytmik Ultimate and even listen to tracks from it, which is very cool and makes it easier to switch files to Rytmik Studio. Either way, it's a more cleaned up Rytmik experience.

The only thing that would make this game better is a Midi-file system to make insane remixes or covers of songs like 100% easier, but for now it's not like it's impossible to do that... just a bit tedious. At least you can sample instruments/sound files from them, though.

One of the few VR games that's still fun to play without VR.

Also reminds me a lot of Garry's Mod in the sense that crazy stuff happens with things people custom made and put into the game.

A poem:

My heart, it screams playing this game,
Going Doki-Doki like the title, the same;
Of course, if you are weak in the heart like me,
I only recommend this game because it is free;
Your heart it goes racing, over and over,
Glitch text and many other unexspecting things making me fear;
The unknowns, the thick plots, and secrets galore,
Monika, my love, you make me cry a tear;
Not because you scared me,
But because you bamboozled me;
My feels will never be cleaned from sin,
But I rate this game, a 10/10.

So, Jet Set Radio, despite how much older it is, is still a great game. This re-release however, helps cements it's place. Though I think Jet Set Radio Future is better (even though they haven't ported it yet), JSR is still a good game.

Pros:
-The controls feel nice, as it is a game that helped shape Sports Platforming games (yep, that's what Tony Hawk Pro Skater is too)
-The pretty cell-shaded textures, which kind of help it age better than most games.
-The unlockable characters, graffiti, and bonus tracks (which are optional, but make the game better.)
-The excellent soundtrack that fits the game.
-The real graffiti that you can use in the game to tag walls in missions.
-The story isn't bad, and helps keep the pace of the game up.
-The voice actors did a well job, making the chase scenes much more memorable.
-The game works with almost any gamepad.
-Option to make your own grafitti
-Has a good points system, allowing you to have a fair way of getting points.
-The ability to use your gained characters after you beat the game (sort of like a Start+ sorta deal)
-The "rival" challenges to gain the extra characters in-game are pretty fun on their own.

Cons:
-Has a difficultly spike for inexperienced players, some levels even requiring me to play over 10 times...
-Tutorial is harder than the actual game, but the game is playable without it nonetheless.
-Unless you have a gamepad, this game is hard as balls.
-The controls are not as responsive when you are in the air, sometimes making you miss a platform/railing.
-The story feels rushed sometimes, but you aren't playing this game for story, are you?
-No restart button... In a sports/platform game... So back to the map and selecting it if you fail.
-Some characters are almost impossible to play normal missions with (exspecially Combo or Pots if you unlock them)
-Boss battle is a let down compaired to the previous missions, but still hard.
-The camera can mess you up sometimes, so be prepaired to press the camera reset alot.
-I beat it once in around 12 hours, but you might want a longer game.
-Only single-player, so unless you and your friend like waiting...

Personal score: 7.75
A good game, and stands up through time, but isn't as great as it used to be I guess. It's still a game I recommend.
Hopefully, it's sequel JSRF will get a port, but for now buy this. I promise you won't be sorry... except when you fail a mission... then you can be sorry for missing that jump on the railing to get over the waterway... besides, the only way for JSRF to be here is if enough of this game is sold, and they realize we want JSRF.
