pretty fun! it is way past my bed time and i stopped truly understanding what was happening on my screen a while ago, so we got the wrong ending as expected. game got a little laggy, and unhooking (?) leads bugged out so i'm hoping that gets fixed. also had an issue where we had to restart our game and upon continuing the level, we found that the torn letter went missing and could no longer do interrogations for it and for the accusation section.

which, by the way, we also didn't understand the whole accusation level either. we assumed that we would have to do all of them in order to understand the whole case and not that it would lead us to accuse someone when we were still figuring out the details of the murder. i didn't try to exit accusation once we completed the 'conflict of interest' puzzle so i'm not sure if there's a way to continue with the other puzzles while not committing to one specific accusation. looking forward to the full release of the game! didn't even realise the devs were australian, shout out to the team!

i truly enjoyed about 80% of this game, right up until the ending. at the very end of the game at the ruined house, i was most confused about how my friend and i weren't able to save taylor despite being able to save everyone else and we ended up reading the wiki for about five minutes only to realise it was all on a few choices made when she is dealing with her demon. i wrote this thinking that all the other characters could only be saved through QTEs and that only taylor couldn't, until i said it out loud and realised that there are times that the only way to save them was reliant on single choices at random times. sure, probably a better person could have made all the good smart and heroic choices and made it so that that ending wouldn't have even happened in the first place, but i still think this is pretty ridiculous.

also, that ending is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. really? we're just schizophrenic? the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is in our heads? sure, it could have worked if only it was written better in my opinion. the arrest ending was pretty abrupt and we get zero explaination until the camera pans and we see older anthony, there are smarter people than i who can come up with better ways that this game could have ended and i would most likely agree with most of them! this ending just feels like a punch to the gut, like nothing ever mattered this whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.

and hey, this game was buggy as hell. towards the end, especially. stutters everywhere and my character and my friend's character would teleport randomly and it would ruin the immersion at times, but maybe that's just me being picky about everything. i don't even care anymore.

had a fun time with my friend regardless. but jesus christ, wish this was better. 5/10

THIS GAME IS MALWARE DO NOT DOWNLOAD

got this on discount at the recommendation of a friend, and i would only really encourage people to buy this game wiht plans to play with other people. i still enjoyed this game when i played it solo, don't get me wrong, but playing with another person makes it more enjoyable and i find it helps with the occasional jumpscares.

there are a lot of glitches, the game stuttering randomly (for me, it was during a QTE after the generator. IYKYK.) and there are times during cut scenes when my model or my friend's character model would disappear and only show their flashlight/lamp. i never experienced any crashes, just the occasional visual bug that just never got repaired. i understand that it was 2019, but it's been a very long time since and they have released other games for this franchise. i wish they didn't neglect MOM like this, but alas.

i was wrong

I've played this game on and off for the last year. I'd finish a day or so, then forget it existed for two months before feeling like finally finishing the story, only to get bored and play something else. The first week or so is quite boring, I won't sugarcoat it, and there are a LOT of audio bugs especially towards the ending I chose, but I still had a time. Doing mundane ♥♥♥♥ and just delivering mail and having conversations with the locals makes me feel so much closer with everyone and by the end of it, i genuinely felt so conflicted on whether or not to leave. A part of me will be left in my parent's living room, in Angie's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ RV, on Burt's dock and Mo's diner. Maybe things'll work out next time, but who knows?
