Excellent implementation of the Wingspan board game. The only complain that I would have is that on a smaller screen like the Steam Deck, the card details can be hard to make out. So, I would rate the game as perfect if there were an easy way to not only zoom in on your cards, but the 3 face-up cards available for selection.

A solid entry in the Rogue-like genre. This time you have the capability of unlocking five or six additional playable characters as the story mode progresses.

More like Hades than Binding of Isaac, in that your character abilities grow between sessions, not just during your current game.

A single run consists of going through multiple levels of a dungeon and defeating a big boss at the end. The story mode is progressed if you win.

There is also a 2-player multi-player mode.

It plays well on the Steam Deck, but the fonts used make reading much of the text difficult.

Expanded version of the original Binding of Isaac. If you loved that game, or like rogue-likes in general, this is for you.

Lots more mayhem and faster action than the original, which can mean many more deaths, but it also makes for more things to discover. Nice fun, "just one more game" type of game, but at least when you die you have a definitive "take a break now" point, unlike something like Civilization which can go on for days.

Solid expansion that builds off of the base game. Not required, but adds a great deal of extra contact increasing the variety of gameplay from the original game. Highly recommended once you are comfortable with the base game.

One of the digital implementations of a board game around. In the actual board game, it can be difficult to keep track of all of the various resources, victory (aka, cultural) points and other interdependencies. The digital format handles all of that for you, making it much easier to play the game, especially for beginners.

The tutorial is excellent, and the various supported game formats allow solo play against challenging opponents with a wide variety of scenarios and options.

Beyond that, the game supports a very well integrated turn-based multi-player interface. This mode allows you to join many games at once, and enter you turns when you get the chance. Some of the settings for this can cause a game to drag out for a while, but those can be adjusted to your taste and availability. Even better, if you own the game on another platform (android, iOS, etc.) you can jump between those platforms to enter you turn if that is more convenient.

I've been playing the OUYA version of the game mostly, but will be putting more time in on my PC as well. The added sharpness of the visuals and having headphones available on my PC makes it an even more enjoyable experience, but both are quite impressive.

After about an hour of playing, I have to say that I am very impressed so far. The game creates a wonderful level of tension and gradually builds up the story and atmosphere. The noises and visuals blend well together to create a unique and wonderfully tense experience, which can lead you to get started are even panicy at times, as you race to avoid especially troubling encounters.

This is definitely one of those rare games that makes you realize that it is very possible to transcend from a "gaming experience" into a true form of art. I highly recommend it, especially to fans of horror in any of its forms.

Crude graphics, but deep gameplay. New game every time. Not much help to guide you, but the quality of acquired gear can be determined by observing the changes to stats.

Slightly irreverent, but quirky and fun!
