Played the demo quite a bit and really liked it, the full game is really nice and I absolutely love the pixel art and the beautiful animations of the attacks. The runs are fun and the characters that I've unlocked so far are nice and have each their own gameplay (might update on that when I have more hours) !

In this game the characters use cards as in any deckbuilder to attack or cast buffs/debuffs. A point I enjoyed a lot are combos between attacks, which will boost the damage of the attacks. In the dungeon while you advance you can either run into : a small fight, a big fight (more mobs/tougher mobs), getting money, getting cards or a campfire to rest/upgrade your deck. You explore the dungeon for a set amount of moves then you have the boss fight and can proceed to the next floor if you're still alive. At the end of a run in the first level (if you didn't die) you get to keep the deck you used to use it again later, if you don't like it you have 4 slots to try and get a better deck by redoing a run (Once you got the deck you keep it even if you die after). The dungeons are nice and the difficulty curve is (for my level) correct.

To sum it up, it is a really nice roguelite game even without knowing Fairy Tail (even though knowing it makes the story and character's interactions more interesting) and it is fully worth the current price (11 euros / 12 dollars). I wholeheartedly recommend this game if you like fairy tail, roguelites, or even better, both.

This a really good game with not only a nice story but also a good progression curve (I played in normal mode), the bosses are challenging and yes you will die but each try will make you a bit better than you were earlier and the satisfaction when you kill a boss is incredible (even though you might rage a bit against some bosses). The game focuses a lot on the concept of parry and perfect parry so you'll have to master that but it is worth it. A huge point who needs more praise is the amazing story of this game, I really fell in love with the storytelling and the cinematics. Lastly, the art. It is a unique and beautiful style, each area has it's own theme making it so you'll never feel bored while exploring, the colors are refreshing and nice to the eye.

In conclusion this game is a certified BANGER, while a bit hard it makes it all worth it when you finish it, if you want a metroidvania with a bit of challenge and an amazing story, go for it it is 100% worth it and you won't regret it !
