I've been waiting for this game for a little while and unfortunately it's a little bit of a letdown. It feels like an early access title with a lot of work left to polish. If you're looking for a casino management/tycoon game like SimCasino or Casino Inc, you will not find it here.

The good:
-The aesthetics are clean and stylized. It captures the era it's portraying well.
-The character designs are super cute.
-The zone function is easy to work with and allows customization to meet the shape of whatever room you're working with.
-The soundtrack is pleasant to listen to and has variations depending on what floor you're on.

The bad:
-Many obvious typos and translation errors.
-Many, many unpolished bugs. From NPCs getting stuck trying to run to the bar, sticking to furniture, or objects being completely unplaceable upon mission start. You WILL encounter some. There's bug reporting features of course, and the devs will accept bug reports through discord however the dev response on their discord seems sluggish at best.
-Some mission objectives are not explained very well and can halt progression.

The meh:
-For those who enjoy tycoon based games like SimCasino or Casino Inc, this won't scratch the same itch. This has more of a focus on story than the other titles and failure is fairly difficult to achieve. For the most part, the game plays itself and the story became a repetitive grind of "meet the minimum requirements and wait".
-While there are different client types and themes, these ultimately don't amount for much. You can succeed without advertising to a certain clientele. You can succeed by only advertising to a certain clientele. For the most part, even those who hate your theme will still be satisfied.
-There's no eyedropper tool, so all wallpapers, furniture, flooring and the like will have to be found manually.
-The "special characters" are just about the same as regular NPCs. Despite having clear labels that one character "hates coffee and alcohol", the presence of either won't deter her. The bar actually shows that she has an affinity for coffee as well under the drink tab which is directly conflicting to what the game says in her profile.
-Unlike Casino Inc, staff will not be retained if you remove an attraction. Instead of staff moving to an unused area waiting to be reassigned, they will be terminated. So if you've managed to get 3 level 3 bartenders to work, they're gone for good just because you wanted to move an area around. You'll now have to rehire 2 and wait to hire a third, or compromise for a lower level.
-The tiers I've mentioned before are vastly different than in Casino Inc. In this game, there are several tiers to the types of staff you can employ. It doesn't appear that any of these actually make a difference, as a 3 star staff will perform mostly the same as a 1 star. If they do perform differently, I have not seen a noticeable difference. None of their quirks and perks really seem to do much either.

Overall, maybe I'll recommend it in the future if it's improved upon. But it lacks the freedom of SimCasino, and while it does have the clientele and staff rating system of Casino Inc, it holds a candle to neither in its lackluster implementation. I feel like this game has a lot of promise in a genre that isn't very well explored, the people who enjoy casino management types like myself itching for more. I just can't recommend it in its present state, especially not to those who are looking for a similar simulation/tycoon.

This game is like no other in terms of actual gameplay. Unfortunately, the developers are very predatory in their monetization processes.

I began playing in 2013 and I've personally witnessed how the game went from a fair, achievable economy to the miserable grind that can only be sated by paying for premium vehicles and currency. Even then, the developer's recent changes have made buying premium vehicles and currency not enough. Not to mention regular progression without premium is impossible with proposed changes.

I do quite enjoy the game as my hours have shown. I like the air aspects and the casual nature where I can jump in and out as I please, games like DCS are too intricate for my tastes. Unfortunately I'll have to recommend against this game until the developers rethink their monetization strategy.

So far I've only spent time on the very first map, however it's been incredibly enjoyable. The terrain is carefully sloped, the pre-made roads are smooth and allow for quick traffic flow, there's no weird quagmires of having to place a water pump and drain pipe in the same lake because of spawn limitations.

Definitely worth $5, even moreso on sale.

I was originally a backer of the game. I was expecting a game similar to the prologue and I was absolutely psyched upon release.

Very quickly that excitement dwindled when I realized the actual detective aspect is gone beyond act 1, and there would be no other puzzles in the story. The remainder of the story is dialogue. Normally that would be alright, however the story strongly deviates from a noir detective story to what seems like a political science art project.

Having known what I know now, I would not have backed it and that pains me to say because I had very high hopes and watched the development process. We were left in the dark for the remainder of development where the story takes such a wild and strange turn.

Game should have been where it is now 5 years ago.

Vehicles are still nowhere to be found, and when they are they're unusable. Game is a walking simulator with seldom loot. Mods do appear to fix most of it but these issues weren't present in the unfortunately dead DayZ Mod.

I still give this game a try and reinstall every now and then, and I still do the same thing: run around for several hours finding next to nothing and eventually die to an invincible zombie that's clipping halfway through a structure.

The UI is clunky as ever, and even reloading firearms is an inconvenience. Almost every other comparable survival game has you press "R" and you simply reload the next available magazine in the most convenient slot. DayZ? Nah. Can't do that. R is to fix jams exclusively. To switch magazines, you have to bind them to your hotbar and then hold the hotkey until it's done. Same goes for reloading magazines too - can't just put ammo on top of the magazine or right click -> "load ammo", no. Gotta hotkey it. Not to mention your hotbar is restricted to roughly 8 slots total, so you have to pick your equipment very carefully.

*Revision: Apparently that has been addressed. Holding the R key will swap to the next available mag. I don't know if that's a mod or if it's a change since I last played in 2019. Regardless it's a very, very welcome one.

I bought this game in early access alpha just as it released, when M4s spawned everywhere and I would gun people down hoping they had a singular soda so I wouldn't die. It doesn't feel like much has changed, and even back then I'd go back to the mod because it was overall a better experience with actually usable vehicles and Arma 2's functional controls. I don't recommend it. I wish I could like this game so, so much. I try to so hard because there's nothing that will scratch the Arma 2 DayZ itch out there anymore. But guess what, this won't either.

Further edit: Upon trying it again I forgot another detail. The remarkably clunky inventory system. Several other games have gotten this right (like Tarkov or Unturned, even) where you can use keys to instaclick items to and fro as well as rotate items in your inventory. DayZ? Nope. It's all static, and click. drag. click. drag. click. drag. Slow as christmas, makes swapping outfits honestly completely undesirable unless totally necessary.

Quick summary: Bought for $17, it's OK. Adds a whole bunch of new elements, most of which can't even be utilized in a standard multiplayer scenario unless you have a lot of your own friends you bring and a competent game master. A cool map, however barely anyone utilizes it publicly. A short campaign in which country bumpkins nearly destroy the entire world, so NATO and CSAT join forces to curbstomp them into not being morons. Not really worth $30.

Longer summary:
I did enjoy the campaign however it was very short. The electronic warfare segments were fairly interesting but oftentimes just lead to you missing out on a lot of context, or not being able to really utilize it to begin with. Since you were hit with an EMP, you have very limited access to vehicles and zero access to GPS which is fairly irritating given that the topographic map isn't super useful. I seldom knew where I was and was just magically stumbling across my objectives. Understandable for the campaign but it's still a gripe, would be nice if we had a standard map like we do on Tanoa or Altis. Points of interest are completely unnecessary. Usually just time-wasters with some looters that have extra gear if you want it but nothing much else. The voice acting was honestly not that bad, some of Rudwell's Russian sounded like he was having issues with alcoholism but otherwise it was alright. The AI actually played out fairly well too - it was interesting to see them react as if it were a scripted event but it was just in response to some annoying thing I had did unrelated to the campaign.

The new content that it does add is fairly neat. The EW spectrum device, the CRBN stuff, the Promet/AK12 variants/Shotguns (with actual pellets!), new offroad variants, camouflages and gun paints, LDF/Spetsnaz factions and an entirely new map. They're all really well done and pleasant to use.

Performance was also fairly bad at times, I usually don't struggle in Arma especially not in singleplayer and I was taking to 20 FPS at times. Not sure why but it wasn't pleasant.

Overall, if it's on sale, pick it up. For nearly $30? Not worth it. It does add a bunch of neat content to the game but you won't be able to use most of it on public servers spare for a gun or uniform, you won't really be able to utilize EW at all unless you have a competent game master and a community with their own server, and hell you may not be able to find a server that even runs Livonia unless you run it yourself since people stray away from spending extra money on DLC in the first place.

I've been following this project since early on via Kickstarter and finally I am able to play the demo. I must say I am incredibly impressed and absolutely cannot wait for the full release. The dialogue is nice, the characters are charming (including background NPCs), the visuals and lighting are stunning and the music is an excellent compliment to the atmosphere of the game. You can pry into the character's lives through questioning if you choose, or simply go on after getting the information you need.

Overall an excellent experience and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone as soon as it comes out. Also unrelated but huge positive: Howard's nose bounces with his walk animation. Necessary? Not really. Adorable? Absolutely.
