So first off, I went into this game completely blind. I was aware of the game being developed but I don't really follow that kinda stuff, I want my first impressions of any game to be just that. My FIRST impressions, not preconceived notions based off of pre-release gameplay demos or what the devs want me to think going in.

That all being said lets get down to it.

Pros-
The map is pretty big. Lots of things to discover, lots of side activities to find, neat little easter eggs and treats around every corner.
The lore to the world is amazing and very fleshed out, its very easy to get immersed into the story and world because of just how much detail went into the history and events.
I love the characters. The voice acting is great, their backgrounds are fleshed out, and many feel so real. From their design, to dialog, to backgrounds they feel right at place in the world while maintaining their individuality. They aren't cookie cutter for the sake of fitting into the world.
The story is great and the side quests are amazing. Believe me when I say that just sticking to the main story line will not do the game or world justice. Many of your choices and discoveries in the side jobs have an impact on the story as a whole, and the side quests are so fun and compelling that its very easy to get completely sidetracked and not do a main story quest for hours or even days.

Cons-
While gameplay is is overall very good, with a vast range of options and ways to play the game, the glitches can sometimes make it difficult. Graphics and UI glitches and enemy and npc AI can get in the way from time to time. There have been multiple occasions where I have been killed by common street thugs due to the fact the the game would not allow me to draw my weapons, where enemies have disapeared through walls or floor and remain unkillable, and times where loot and weapon drops are unable to be interacted with or picked up. I expect this to be patched in the future but as it stands, can be pretty annoying. After it's fixed, I would hands down say that the gameplay is top tier but for now, there's just too much.

Vehicles can be difficult to drive, especially with keyboard and mouse controls. Some of the "best" cars in the game can feel unusable in some areas due to the poor handling.

Cops in this game... like why? Why are there even cops in the first place if they don't chase you and you never build up any sort of bounty? You can go on a spree of assault, murder, and vehicular manslaughter and the cops just spawn in, shoot at you, and as soon as you leave give no chase, and forget you exist after about 10 seconds of leaving line of sight. Skyrim's city guards have better AI and would be more fit to protect people than Night city's finest.

Overall, I'd give the game an 8/10, 9.5/10 pending fixes with the glitches that should be patched in the near future.

TL;DR great game, fun story and characters. Glitches need to be fixed and cops suck.
