TL;DR
Pretty game with solid performance, but it’s all flash, no soul. World is massive but empty, combat is bad, writing is worse. Even as someone who never cared about Harry Potter, I still walked away disappointed.

What Worked
Visually, the game is stunning, and it actually runs smoothly(at least for me)
Sebastian’s questline was the only thing close to engaging. Also, liked the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest, even though it's repetitive(well whole game is), it still was kinda fun.

What Didn’t
Combat is pure spam. You fire off one set of four spells, swap to the next set while the first is on cooldown, then loop forever—tiny chip damage the whole time. Even on the hardest difficulty I only died a couple of times, and that was thanks to bugs, not fights. Ninety percent of the spell list is filler.

Open world looks brilliant while flying on a broom, but once you actually start playing and get off your broom to the ground… it’s just the same four activities copy-pasted across a billion waypoints. Collectibles, bandit camps, puzzles— all forgettable.

Requirement Room? Boring. Gear system? Awful. Quidditch? Non-existent. Houses? Basically don’t matter. Characters? Bland. Your protagonist? Somehow the most boring of all.

Natty’s entire storyline deserves its own award for being aggressively uninteresting. Even though all side quests here are the worst I've played. Choices have zero weight, so don’t expect any payoff.

Verdict
Skip it.
If you’re a diehard Potter fan, maybe you’ll find more meaning in the setting. But if you’re looking for a good RPG, or even just a fun action game—this ain’t it.
Sebastian’s arc is the only thing holding the whole thing together. Everything else feels like it was made by 3 drunk lads in six days.

Worst remaster that I've ever played
TL;DR Wait for at least 80% discount. Remaster only adds new glitches with no graphical uplift. You are tacitly forced to buy remake, which costs double the price of original games when they were on sale, but since they are deliberately not putting them on sale, remaster "is cheaper". Lowest price for original games with all content is $8, lowest recorded price for remaster is $16. 3 years after remake came out, and there are still major flaws that will never be fixed, and you have to pay twice as much for it.
Remastered collection came out 7 years after the original game came out. But does the original game need a remaster? To find out i played first chapter of original game and compared it to first(and subsequently others) chapter of remake.
Graphics were kinda bad for 2015, but for 2022 this is by far the worst graphics you could think of. Even though I love the cozy cartoonish style, I can't ignore an elephant in the room. Ocean waves look like ♥♥♥♥, literal pixels the size of a fist, facial animations are still mediocre, even though there were claims about them being better. Sound stutters on almost every cutscene, item interaction might randomly not work so button prompt just dissapears. Major barn glitch in 4th episode, that was not present in original game, which forced me to replay it 4 times, because only then i found some youtube comment that had a step by step solution. Pavement in 5th episode, that literally blinds you like flashbang and flickers so much it would cause epilepsy seizure to a blind person. Game is "remastered", but going to another location, for example from college to parking lot that are adjacent to each other, you still have to wait for it to load for 5 or something seconds. Literally least they could do is make location transitions seamless in 2022... GPU utilization, compared to original, is 1.5 to 2 times bigger, while graphics are same, if not worse. Consistent frame drops and stutters, that definitely wasn't present in original. The only real thing that's awesome here is shadows. Not rtx level, but really good, especially for such a janky remake.
Story
I love games where choices matter, played almost all quantic dream games so now this game was next on the list. Read a bunch of reviews that are quite intriguing. All I got is a decent story, with some unexpected twists, definitely couldn't predict who's the bad guy. There was a strong deja vu feeling, as if I was playing replica of Butterfly effect movie with Ashton Kutcher, but poorly made and adapted for younger generation. While movie is indeed thought provoking and influential, game is worse in every way. It feels like even in The Witcher 3 the choices have more consequences, even though it's an RPG game rather than a game where the whole point is to make choices that have consequences. I see the vision, i know where devs got their inspiration from, but it still lacks something, so maybe it would be way better if they did 8 episodes as planned. Not really a spoiler, but some might not like it, so read it with causion all the choices you make through your playthrough are just wiped in the very last choice, which is a bummer for me. What's the point of choosing every line for the best outcome, if in the end it doesn't matter?
Don't know who and why cries because of this game, story even goes downhill from the end of 4th episode.
Summing up, I can only recommend it if you already played all choices matter games available and there is nothing left, or if you are new to this genre. If you haven't played Detroit become human, didn't watch Butterfly effect movie, then i advise you to do that instead of playing this game. Wrote this review solely to save someones money, while I don't regret buying the game, someone might
