Amazing game. I recommend the seamless co-op mod for fully fledged co-op playthroughs.

Fantastic game, lovely bright graphics with great ambience and lighting. The voice acting is incredible and emotive, which gives a lot of immersion within the story. Lots of detail and secrets, and the puzzles themselves are a good level of interesting and challenging.

The game and studio was purchased by Epic Games and it's not been great since then. Anyone who purchased the game or any DLC gets a big slap in the face because as soon as Epic bought it, they 'undercut' the value of those purchases by giving them away entirely for free to anyone, forever. It of course requires an Epic Games account even though it was a Steam purchase which isn't ideal.

In terms of the game, it's been converted into a carbon copy of Fortnite's progression system. Boring grindy dailies, a 'battle pass' and terrible xp rates for people who don't pay the seasonal subscription. You used to get free cosmetics very often which added a bit of fun to the game. Now you just get loot boxes disguised as 'blueprints' - which require spending money to convert to items.

Gameplay remains unchanged, which is a big positive. The community however is so full of toxicity and people wanting to forfeit 30 seconds in, you feel like you're still playing League of Legends. I can't say this gets any better at higher ranks either, unfortunately.

Requires an EA account and internet access to open the game, so you can't just enjoy the story mode. Not much sense in buying it on Steam if you have to run another service in order to use it.

A great game in theory but it's been ruined by a greedy cash-grab freemium-style delivery. You pay to buy the game, and then you pay with cash or many hours of your life grinding just to unlock things that are essential to be even remotely competitive. Many characters are also locked behind paywalls under the guise of "DLC".
