I genuinely don't get how they made this game worse than the beta.

Monetization during the beta was pretty contentious, but it seems like they're doubling down and prioritized that over the actual quality of the game. Why else would the Rift exist in the state that it is over something basic like a training mode?

Don't bother, even if you really like/enjoy some of these characters like I do. There are other platform fighters out there (or fighting games in general, really) that show at least some respect to your time, your online status, and your money.

Eleven years since the release of vanilla Street Fighter IV, this series of games still holds up very well. Dare I say, even more so than the current run of Street Fighter V. Though you may see that I put very little time into this game on Steam, I have over hundreds of hours on this game on Xbox Live. Sadly, because SFV is currently the hottest thing with Capcom and their Capcom Pro Tour at the moment, online play may look quite barren these days and if you do manage to get a match in, good luck with the potentially crippling lag. Offline however, has remained the same throughout the years. No lag, just pure 1v1 fun against a friend.

If you're afraid of spending a lot to commit to something like SFV, then check this game out; it's still worth the price.
