Knew nothing about this game going into and it blew me away. Amazing art and sound. Does an excellent job of setting the tone. The entire game looks like a sketch book. Give it a play.

Not actually free to play. Its really just a demo. They remove mass amounts of content from the game periodically. If you wanted to play the game you should have started years ago. The game gets worse and worse with every expansion now.

In my opinion the most critical hours of a game are the first couple. Within that time frame the player will make the decision if they like the game or not and whether to keep playing. DOOM Eternal’s first two hours are rather sad.

You get presented with this bloated game that just keeps presenting you with upgrade system after upgrade system. Each system has its own currencies and menus, it's just very cumbersome and something the game could have done without.

You teleport across the universe from disconnected level to disconnected level. In DOOM 2016 there was a feeling of progress as you fought you were across the UAC facility but in Eternal, it feels like a series of disconnected arenas. The only way to tell that you are actually making any progress and getting anywhere is when VEGA tells you that you have accomplished something.

The purpose of the chain saw is my biggest gripe with DOOM Eternal. I'm totally okay with admitting I'm bad at the game but every time I'm starting to enjoy myself, I run out of ammo. I understand the chainsaw automatically refills and killing an enemy with it gives you a good bit of ammo but every time I have to use the thing it just feels like I have to put the action on pause.

The game does have some saving graces that have kept me interested like the weapons and the story. The weapons feel absolute stellar, I love the sound design and animations. Starting with a shotgun instead of a pistol was a great choice. Some may not like the story, but I think it's a cool expansion of DOOM lore and for others I could see the story being the driving factor behind playing the game.

Most of my issues with the game start to drop off at around the 3-hour mark but they are always present. At certain points I found myself just not having a good time and for that reason my recommendation would be to play DOOM 2016 first (if you haven't already) and then grab this one when it goes on sale.

I want to love this game but its buggy as ♥♥♥♥. Audio constantly cuts out. Opening menus can crash the game. Locks up the PC if I try to close the game. Gonna request a refund.

As a gay man I feel this game truly represents me and what it means to be gay in 2018:
-Barely functioning
-Broken
-Disappointing
-Unoriginal
-Rounds finish in under a minute
-Lonely

Undertale's soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks composed for a game. The soundtrack doesn't have a single boring or bad track and I contiune to listen to the OST over and over again.

the game is ok too i guess
