7.5 • The puzzles are decently creative, even if not very hard and not that dependant on cooperation. Decent game to play with a significant other.

7.5 • A more short and casual metroidvania than usual. In terms of game design, it borrows heavily from Hollow Knight, but the smaller scale of Arcadia makes for a much more contained package than Hallownest. The aesthetics are overall pretty well achieved and the gameplay does its job, with both combat and platforming being satisfactory, even if the combat is pretty single-toned and easy by design. Highlight definitely goes to the (true) final boss, which is surprisingly hectic and fun. Would easily recommend it to metroidvania fans looking for a shorter less challenging experience.

8 • Pretty cool metroidvania, although it is focused a tad too much in movement and platforming and not enough on combat, which looks like an afterthought they felt obligated to include in the game for it to be a metroidvania, as the combate boils down to just brainlessly spamming the attack button to deal with pretty much every single enemy. Also, it is incredibly frustrating to complete on Hard, as pretty much every single platforming mistake one-shots you, no matter how much health orbs you have. The last zone is also complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in every way imaginable, but it doesn't take away from what is an otherwise enjoyable experience.
