i played ori and the blind forest a long while back and ever since i finished it, i've been anxiously awaiting the sequel. suffice it to say, it did not disappoint, at all. this is one of the most vibrant, colorful, lively, gorgeous, stunning games i've ever played. some parts were frustrating, sure, but ori and the will of the wisps artfully weaves together a perfect blend of meaningful challenge and very satisfying sense of accomplishment.

all of that said, this game isn't without its technical issues. i've encountered numerous bugs and glitches here and there, such as parts of the audio cutting out, certain controls straight up not working on occasion, and a bit of stuttering/frame drops here and there. i even had one occurrence of the game screen suddenly going completely black with no way to know where i was going or what i was doing. the only thing that was still functioning was the game's audio. i had to alt + f4 for that one. also, sometimes, when warping from one spirit well to another, the game would play the warping animation twice, even though i'd already completed the warp, and i wouldn't be able to do anything until the second animation finished.

bugs aside though, seriously, this game is easily 10/10 for me. an amazing story, breathtaking visuals, and incredibly satisfying gameplay all come together with a gorgeous soundtrack to create a masterpiece of a game. if you're on the fence about getting this game, allow me to be the one who tells you to go for it, because you absolutely will not regret it.
