i can tell that the game is great, I really can; I just don't vibe with the core cast. maybe once a couple of seasons are out I'll find a character that hooks me but for now, I'm happy that other people are having fun with it.

battle tracks are legit ass though

not since Dragon Age II has there been a game that so wholly undermines the entire point of its predecessor that it becomes almost memetic

it's okay, i guess. it's diet darkest dungeon. slay-the-spire-ified darkest dungeon. all of the heart and creativity that went into the original has been abandoned in favor of slightly tighter combat mechanics and a branching, 'tower run' style format disrespects your time but feels like it would be right at home when the time comes for the game's inevitable mobile release

now that there's a mod to disable groomer mode it's probably the best way to play p3, and the only way to curb mitsuru's disgusting marin karin addiction once and for all

it's smut, but it's charming smut with some pretty funny dialogue.
also, the big bara titty fox boy's ♥♥♥♥ basically has its own zip code. so, there's that.

one time damien rejected me at the end of a playthrough and told me i was stupid and ugly, and it actually hurt my real life feelings a little. screw that guy, i'm smart and hot

a game that is definitely queer representation, written entirely by straight people who either hate queer people or think they're the punchline to a joke. i think i would kind of prefer if the creators of the game just subjected me to a hate crime instead, to be honest; at least that would be sincere

i imagine that the reason more games where the cast is comprised of depressed burnouts just below the poverty line aren't made is because it hits a little too close to home for most of us to really satisfy our need for escapism, but this jrpg lets you summon an adult baby diaper lover fetishist final fantasy style mid-battle, and if your character does well enough running a traditional rice cracker shop you can order an orbital satellite strike on some random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guys dancing around in trashbags. so obviously it's great

great for simulating a healthy relationship with a nice boy but i gotta take issue with the game's depiction of wholesome, healthy relationships with your parents, it's a nice thought but it's just not relatable, man
